Matthew J. Von Handorf
Matthew J. Von Handorf, 37, of Grand Junction, CO, formerly of Saugus, passed away most unexpectedly on April 19th. “Matty” had an infectious personality and touched everyone he met in a special way. The most important thing in his life were his family and friends. He was also known for always helping those he loved, whether it meant being in California, Colorado or Massachusetts to offer his support.
Matthew will be missed dearly by his beloved parents William and Josephine Von Handorf of FL, his grandmothers Alice Von Handorf of CA and Camille Fiore of MA, sister Michelle of MA, brother Bill and wife Scoie of CO, sister Jennifer and husband Chris of CO and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves his cherished nieces and nephews; Parker, Tatum, Hays, Hoyt, Avery and Lowe who adored their “Uncle Matty”.
Billy and Josephine and all of the loved Von Handorf family, please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We have such fond memories of Matt and are so grateful for how friendly he was to all of our children. If there is anything we can do please let us know.

Sincere sympathy and condolences to Matty’s entire family. As “extended family” we were lucky to know Matty’s big personality and kind heart. He was the best Uncle to our grandchildren; Parker, Tatum and Hoyt. For that, he will be forever in our hearts!

Matty,
You brightened any room you were in, and you never failed to make me smile. My husband and I have been on the receiving end of your kindness and generosity more than once. From tiling a bathroom to helping pack a moving truck, we could always count on you. We love you and will miss you like crazy.
