Morand Jr. & Jillian E. Morand both of Peabody, Jessica F. Perreault & her husband Joseph of Haverhill.  Dear brother of: William E. Doherty of Ft. Pierce, Fl., Russell E. Perreault, his mother-in-law, Theresa (Hanright) Dodge of Peabody & her late husband, Ralph E. Dodge.  Brother-in-law of: R. Steven Dodge of N.H., Karen DiSabatino & her husband, James of Georgetown, Michael T. Dodge & his wife, Rosemary, & Marla Dodge all of Peabody.  Many nieces & nephews also survive him.  Family & friends are invited to attend the funeral from the VERTUCCIO & SMITH HOME FOR FUNERALS, 773 Broadway (rte. 107), REVERE on MONDAY, July 15, at 9:30AM followed by a funeral mass in Immaculate Conception Church, (corner of Beach St. & Winthrop Ave.), REVERE at 10:30AM.  Visiting hours are Sunday only 4–8pm.  Parking available left of the funeral home.  Interment is private.  Born in Winthrop, he was raised & educated in Revere & lived here for over 25 years before moving to Everett for a brief time & to Peabody for the past 16 years.  Michael was an alumnus of Revere High School, Class of 1973.  He also was an alumnus of Bunker Hill Community College, Class of 1978.  He worked within the banking community most of his career in credit, spent 20 years at Citizens’ Bank & then went over to TD Bank of Burlington as a credit manager.  In 2007, Michael was struck down with a massive stroke, leaving him with severe effects with his motion & generalized function.  However, in spite of the insidious attack on his body, he pushed forward & regained enough mobility to allow him to live a most normal life.  Michael had a special nickname, “Bowl” which alludes to his immense worship & interest in the “Patriots” & “Red Sox.”  Michael was an avid member of the “Timebank” at Time Exchange of the North Shore & a member of the Adaptive Sports’ Association at Boston’s Spaulding Rehab & also a member of Paul Lydon’s Aquatic Center of Danvers.  He also was a member of the Board of Directors of the Peabody Rent Control Board.  As a young man, he was an active member of the former 27th Lancers-Immaculate Conception Reveries of Revere.  Michael’s strong refound faith in God & the Catholic Church inspired him to persevere beyond all expectations of the medical community & allowed him not only to beat the odds but to become a beacon of hope for many victims of severe stroke disease.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Heart & Stroke Assoc., 20 Speen St., Framingham, Ma. 01701-4688.

To all our families, friends, and residents of Revere, East Boston, and surrounding communities of the North Shore,

We would like to announce that after 37 years of caring for thousands of families at our 773 Broadway location, on January 31st, 2023 we will be officially RELOCATING, to our new location at 262 Beach St., Revere.
On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
Thank you for your friendship and continued support.
God bless you all.
Faithfully,

Your friends at Vertuccio Smith and Vazza.
