Michael P. Sacco

Private Funeral Services & interment were held privately at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden for Michael P. Sacco of Revere, formerly of East Boston, who died on Tuesday, July 6th at the Everett Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Everett, following a lifelong illness, he was 77 years old.

Michael was born in Boston and was raised in East Boston until the age of 9 years old. The family then relocated to Revere. Michael was educated in both Boston & Revere Public Schools. Michael worked at the Howard Johnson Motor Lodge & Hotel in Revere for most of his working career. He enjoyed working in the kitchen performing various tasks. Michael loved studying history as a young student and as an adult. He was fascinated with world events and the chronological order of the world’s biggest events and accomplishments.  Michael was also an avid Red Sox fan, much like history Michael new all of the history that involved the Boston Red Sox. He enjoyed the highs & lows of what it means to be a Boston Sports Fan. He is now at peace & rest with his parents, home in heaven.

He is the beloved son of the late Orlando & Louise (Caruso) Sacco. Cherished brother of Barbara Green & her late husband Charles Green, Jr. of Sarasota, FL & Rose M. Smallcomb & her husband Robert of Salem. Dear uncle of Laurel Green of Coon Rapids, CO & Heather Green of Sarasota, FL. He is also lovingly survived by other family members.

On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
