Nancy A. (Pisano) DeMaino
A Funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Anthony of Padua Church for Nancy A. (Pisano) DeMaino, who died in the presence of her God, on Saturday, February 27th at her home in Revere, she was 91 years old. Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
Nancy was born & raised in East Boston. She was educated in Boston Public Schools and attended East Boston High School. She was married to Nicolo DeMaino, the proprietor of DeMaino’s Restaurant in Revere & the couple had 2 children. In 1961, Nancy suffered the sudden loss of her dear husband Nicolo and was faced raising her 2 children as a single mother. Nancy was a strong & brave woman and rose to the challenge. She also ran the family restaurant for several years, before turning to a more stable career. She worked for the Boston Globe for over 10 years and later returned to working at DeMaino’s Restaurant when her son Lenny owned & operated it. Nancy was a very wise woman, who always spoke her mind. Like a true friend she always told you the truth, not just what you wanted to hear. She always put her family first, especially as a young mother, who made her way through life, on her own. Nancy’s family will be forever grateful to the staff & nurses at the Prospect House for their professionalism, care & compassion that was demonstrated for their mother.
She is the beloved wife of the late Nicolo DeMaino. Loving & devoted mother of Leonard N. “Lenny” DeMaino & his wife Freida of Revere & Annette N. Abbas of Salem, New Hampshire & her late husband Adam. Cherished grandmother of 4 grandsons & great grandmother of 6 great grandsons & 1 great granddaughter. Dear sister of Vito Pisano & his wife Yvonne of Revere, Marion Kelleher of Lynn & her late husband Edward & the late Virginia Perius. She is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, & grandnephews.
Remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.

John Pisano Sr.
Lenny and Annette,
We are so very sorry to hear about your Mom’s passing.
When I was around 12 years old, she asked my Uncle Mike if I would mind taking you kids for a walk each day and I gladly did and I really got to know both of you and also your Mother.
This tribute to your Mom is so true, she was a great lady and always put her family first.
You always treated your Mother with such great dignity and respect and I always admired you both for that, for that is how you were raised.
I am so sorry I did not see this sooner but we have had some health issues here with my Husband and I haven’t time to do much of anything or I would have been at her Mass.
I know you have some great memories stored away in your heart, let those memories now be your consolation at this very sad time.
Lenny, and family.
Please accept my condolences and prayers on the passing of your beloved mother Nancy.
