Orazio “Nick” Coccimiglio

Family & friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours on Wednesday, March 1st from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Vertuccio and Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) Revere for Orazio “Nick” Coccimiglio who died on Sunday, February 26th at Massachusetts General Hospital following a long illness, he was 80 years old. A funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Thursday, March 2nd at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St. Revere.

Nick was born and raised in Calabria, Provincia Catanzaro, Italy. He proudly served his country in the Italian Army. Nick came to America in 1963. He settled in Revere, where he and his wife raised their family with strong family values. Nick was a very hardworking man and had demonstrated that through his strong work ethic. He worked for many years at Norman Straeger Shoe Counter Co. He later worked as an Electronic Supervisor at Community Workshop in Boston. Nick took great pride in his home in Revere and kept it in pristine condition and well-manicured. He was also known as a loving family man.

He is the beloved husband of 53 years of Elena (Beatrice) Coccimiglio of Revere. Loving father of Trev Coccimiglio & his wife Grace of Revere, Olina Roberto & her husband Anthony of Peabody, Nick Coccimiglio & his wife Jenna of Revere & the Late Dina (Coccimiglio) Ferrera. Cherished grandfather of Paige, Krystalyne, Zach, Giana & Gabriella. Dear brother of Viola Cimino of Revere & her late husband Ralphaele, the late Eugenio & Maria Coccimiglio, Ottavio Coccimiglio, Antonio Coccimiglio, Francesco Coccimiglio & his wife Teresa. Also lovingly survived by his sisters-in-law Frances Coccimiglio of Revere & Matilda Coccimiglio of Calabria, Italy. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to a charity of your choice.

We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
