Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, August 6th, 2014 from 9 – 10:30 a.m., in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), Revere, for Helen. M. “Honey” Hill, who died on Thursday, July 31st at the Whidden Memorial Hospital following a long illness, at 76 years.  Her funeral will follow visitation with a funeral mass in the Immaculate Conception Church (corner of Beach St. & Winthrop Ave.), Revere, at 11 a.m.  Born & raised in Revere, she was a 1956 alumna of Immaculate Conception High School.  She also attended State Teachers’ College.  “Honey” served with the Revere School System for over 30 years as a secretary.  She was born into one of Revere’s oldest families, & her popularity & personality are legendary.  She was the daughter of the late: Herbert S. Hill, Sr.  & Helena M. (Spelman) Hill.  She is the sister of Ret. Revere Firefighter Thomas L. Hill & his late wife Florence E. Hill, Grace P. Sannella & her husband Former Revere School Committee member Frederick A. Sannella, all of Revere, & the late: Staff Sgt. Herbert S. Hill, Jr., Staff Sgt. James J. Hill, Former Revere School Super Intendant William J. Hill, Former Revere City Assessor Kenneth F. Hill,  Mary G. Cushing, H. Pauline Hill & Audrey Cogliano.  Dear sister-in-law to: Eleanor (Cronan) Hill of Lynnfield, Carolan (Hegarty) Hill of Revere & John Cogliano of Westford.  She is also lovingly survived  by many dedicated & loyal nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, great-grand-nieces & great-grand-nephews.  Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Pulmonary Hypertension Association, 81 Roeder Rd., Silver Spring, MD 20910, or on line at www.phassociation.org.

(Murphy) Borgatti, who died on Wednesday, July 30th at Epoch Nursing Center of Melrose, following a long illness.  Her funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Tuesday, August 5th at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in Our Lady of Grace Church at 10:30 a.m.  Born & raised in Revere, she was a 1944 alumna of Revere High School.  She moved to  Chelsea when she married & remained there for over 50 years.  Her beloved late husband, Louis F. Borgatti, died in September of 2006.  She was the dedicated mother of four: Richard L. Borgatti & his wife Belinda of Revere, Linda M. Borgatti – DiCarlo & her husband Dennis of Stoneham, Thomas F. Borgatti & his wife Marie, & Nancy A. Krouse & her husband Phillip, all of Peabody.  She is the dear sister of Joanne Reppucci of Revere & the late: Robert F. & Paul E. Murphy.  She is also lovingly survived by thirteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren & many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews.  Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.

Spagnola, who died on Wednesday, July 30th at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center of Boston from Chronic Leukemia.  Born in Revere & educated there, he was a 1976 alumnus of Revere High School.  He also attended the University of Massachusetts at Boston.  All of his working career was in food service, as a lead waiter for several of Boston’s upper – class restaurants.  He spent many years at “Louis” of Boston & also at the Marriot Long Wharf fo over 10 years.  Louis was a proud member & supporter of “Friends of Bill W.” for many years.  He was a seasoned greeter & a sponsor to many, becoming their mentor & in some cases their surrogate brother or uncle.  He is survived by by his beloved mother: Lena (DiMonde) Spagnola of Revere & the late Frank Toscano of Boston’s North End.  He is the devoted father to: Jeanne Barron Of Revere & is the cherished brother of Cheryl A. Spagnola & her companion Ruben H. Vasquez of Revere, Michael Toscano of Salisbury, MA  & the late Debra M. Spagnola.  He is the dear uncle of Nicholas A. Spagnola of Revere.  He is also lovingly survived by his former wife Eve Barron of East Boston, several aunts, uncles, cousins, colleagues & friends. Interment will be held privately.

Brendan T. Kirby

Brendan T. Kirby, a lifelong Revere resident, died following a long illness at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, Melrose, on Sunday, July 27th, at 69 years.  Born & raised in Revere, he was a 1963 alumnus of Revere High School.  Brendan was a postal worker at South Postal Annex for over 15 years, before retiring.  He is a member of the National Association of Postal Workers.  He was the son of the late, Robert E. & Pauline E. (Tighe) Kirby.  He is the  beloved brother of Paula C. Martin & her husband William J., & Dorothy F. Foley & her husband Gerald, all of Revere.  He is the dear uncle to: Anne C. Belliveau & her late husband, David M. Belliveau of Revere, Patrick M. Foley of Chelsea, Paul R. Foley of Malden, & Robert J. Martin & his wife Julie of Saugus.  Also lovingly survived by is grand-niece, Catherine A. Belliveau, & his grand-nephew, Liam J. Family & friends are invited to visit with the family on Monday, August 4th, 2014 beginning at 9 a.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), Revere, followed by the funeral service in the funeral home at 11 a.m., for Thomas P. Murray, who died following a brief illness on Sunday, July 27th at Boston’s Beth-Israel Deaconess Medical Center, at 54 years.  Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.  Born & raised in North Reading, he was a 1978 alumnus of North Reading High School.  For the past 20 years, “Tommy” was working for the City of Everett, Department of Public Works & City Services, as a Licensed Heavy Equipment Operator.  During his tenure with the City of Everett, he also worked within the work force at Glenwood Cemetery as a laborer & heavy equipment operator.  His memberships include Local 25 of the International Union of Craftsmen & Laborers, & the Carmen A. Schiavo Mens Social Club of Everett.  Throughout his life, he was an avid sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox.  His enthusiasm for sports events is legendary.  Tommy was also passionate about any “Autism” fundraising, & took part actively in marathons & walks.  He also was a volunteer for “My Brother’s Table” of Lynn.  He is the beloved husband of 26 years to Rosemary (Gaeta) Murray, & the devoted father to: Kathryn R. & Rachel C. Murray, both of Revere, & the late Matthew T. Murray.  He is the dear son of Paul V. Murray of Edisto Island, South Carolina, & the late Evelyn M. (D’Eon) Murray.  He is also the cherished brother of Joseph N. Murray of Edisto Island, SC, Margaret L. Murray of North Reading, Paula M. Frew of Methuen, Nelson J. Murray of Wilmington, his twin sister Rose McCann & her husband James of Manchester, NH, & the late James R. (Aideuis) Marks, who died following a brief illness on Saturday, July 26th at her daughter’s Lynnfield home, at 73 years.  The funeral service will be held in the funeral home following the visitation, at 11 a.m.  Mrs. Marks was born in Cambridge & lived there until coming to Revere over 50 years ago.  She married Donald L. Marks, & he passed on March 23rd, 2014.  She is the devoted mother of: Brenda J. Kelly & her husband John T. “Jake,” Donald L. Marks, Jr. & his wife Maria, all of Lynnfield, & the late William C. Marks.  She is the cherished grandmother of: Matthew R. & Lauren E. Kelly, & Austin H. & Olivia M. Marks, all of Lynnfield, & the late Hunter J. Marks.  She is the dear sister to Marion Maldonaldo of Malden, Janet Palen & her husband David of Medford, Richard Aideuis & his wife Theresa of Cambridge, & Leonard Aideuis of Newton, & the late John Aideuis.  She is also lovingly survived by her sister-in-law, Dorothy L. Duffy, who died on Friday, July 25th at Boston’s Beth-Israel Deaconess Medical Center, following a short illness, at 84 years.  Her funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Thursday, July 31st at 10 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in the Immaculate Conception Church (corner of Beach St. & Winthrop Ave.), Revere, at 11 a.m.  Born & raised in Revere, she was a 1948 alumna of Immaculate Conception High School, Revere.  Early in her working career, Agnes began at New England Tel. & Tel. (NYNEX) as an operator, & later would rise to the supervisory & management positions.  She retired in 1985 as a business office supervisor after 35 years of service.  She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, & was most active in her Immaculate Conception Parish Community.  She was a devotee of the Parish & a volunteer until most recently.  She was the daughter of the late Michael F. Duffy & Susan J. (Keane) Duffy.  She was the cherished aunt of: Reverend Mark J. DeAngelis, Pastor of the Church of the Sacred Hearts of Malden, Ronald L. DeAngelis of Revere, Linda Manseau & husband Donald, & John “Jack” Duffy, all of Shrewsbury, MA.  She was the dear sister of the late: Marion E. DeAngelis, John & Thomas Duffy.  Also lovingly survived by her Godmother, Sr. M. Declan, C.S.J. of Bethany at Framingham, her sister-in-law, Barbara Duffy of Hopkinton, & her faithful friend, Mave Tornesello of Malden.  Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Restoration Fund at Immaculate Conception Church, 22 Sewall St., Revere, MA 02151.

Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, July 29th, 2014 from 4 – 8 p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), Revere, for Emile J. “Jimmy” Campanaro, who died unexpectedly at his Revere residence on Thursday, July 24th, at 71 years.  His funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Wednesday, July 30th at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Revere, at 10 a.m.  Born & raised in East Boston, he was a 1963 alumnus of Boston English High School.  “Jimmy” had a 17-year career with the Massachusetts Port Authority.  “Jimmy’s” years at Massport were a tremendously happy time for him.  His winning personality & ability to cope with work related problems was legendary.  As a young man, he was an avid baseball fan & sports fan.  He often wrote sports commentaries for the Boston Globe & the East Boston Times.  He lived most of his life in the Orient Heights section of East Boston before moving to Revere 17 years ago.  He is a veteran of the United States Army during the Viet-Nam era.  He was the beloved son of the late, Louis & Clara (Tedeschi) Campanaro, & the cherished brother of: Francis A. “Chuck” Campanaro & his wife Elizabeth M. of Leesburg, Florida, Eugene L. “Gene” Campanaro & his wife Linda of Revere, & Richard L. Campanaro & his wife Claire M. of Bedford, Texas.  He is also lovingly survived by several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews.  Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Armando J. Flecchia

Flecchia who died July 17th, following a long illness at Annemark  Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of Revere. His funeral will conducted from the funeral home on Saturday, August 2nd, followed by a funeral mass in Immaculate Conception Church (Corner of Beach St, & Winthrop Ave,) Revere at 11:00 a.m. Born in Quincy, hew was educated & raised there, he left Quincy as a young boy when the family moved to Everett.  He entered the U.S. Army, on March 30th, 1944 & served until April 2, 1946, with the rank of Private First Class.  He married in 1950 & moved to Revere in 1961.  He & his late wife Louise M. (Itzo) celebrated 67 years of marriage before her death on December 30, 2012.mmHe was the brother of the late, James Flecchia & his wife Florence.  He is also lovingly survived by many devoted nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, great grand nieces & great grand nephews. He is also survived by his sister in law Gemma E. Moran of Groton, CT., 2 cousins Mary Cecchini of Malden & Rita Dunlea of Everett.  Most of his working career was spent as a sheet metal worker. Later in life he worked for John Hancock Life Insurance Company of Boston within their construction department.  He is a life member of the Revere American Legion Post #61.  entombment will be in Woodlawn Community Mausoleum (Sheffield Building) Everett.  In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to: National Association of the Miraculous Medal, 475 E. Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, July 23rd, 2014 beginning at 3 p.m. through 6:45 p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), Revere, for Daniel T. “Danny” Dellascio, who died unexpectedly at his Lynn residence on Friday, July 18th, at 45 years.  The funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home following the visitation, at 7 p.m.  Interment is private.  Born & raised in Revere, “Danny” lived here until moving to Lynn in 1999.  He was a 1987 alumnus of Revere High School.  Following graduation, he entered the work force with the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier.  His work took him to the neighborhoods of Revere, East Boston, & Winthrop.  “Danny” was a member of the National American Letter Carriers’ Union.  An avid sportsman, he was a banner fan of the New England Patriots & Boston Bruins.  He genuinely enjoyed the game of football, & the New England Patriots were his “Hallmark.”  He was overwhelmed when he would attend his daughter Adrianna’s hockey games, as well as his son Danny’s hockey games.  He is the beloved husband of 17 years to Lauren B. (Nolan) Dellascio.  He is the cherished father of Adrianna M. & Danny S. Dellascio, both of Lynn.  He is the dear brother to Phillip Fraga, Elizabeth Bodish, Kevin, Edward & Joseph Dellascio, & Mary Orsini.  He is the devoted son-in-law of retired Boston Police Lieutenant Herbert “Herbie” Nolan & Barbara (Perry) Nolan of Medford & Las Vegas, Nevada.  He is also lovingly survived by his uncle, Ronald Perry of Medford, his sister-in-law, Melissa A.
