Samuel Russell Segee
Family & friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours on Sunday, January 23rd from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Rte. 107) REVERE for Samuel Russell Segee who died on Sunday, January 16th at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, he was 84 years old. All other Funeral Services will be held privately. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
Sam was born in Winthrop but was a lifelong Revere Resident. He was born to Waldo H. & Helen E. (Spence) Segee. He was one of four boys. Sam was educated in Revere and was a proud alumnus of Revere High School, Class of 1955. Sam enlisted in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict on November 9, 1960, and proudly served his country until November 3, 1962. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Private First Class. When Sam returned home, he began working at the First National Grocery Stores. He worked there for 27 years as a Dairy Manager, until they closed in 1980. He then sought employment in the Commercial Cleaning Industry, in and around Boston. He did this type of work until his retirement. Sam was an active man. He would enjoy long walks, daily exercise and was very conscious about his diet. He was a very regimented person. Sam enjoyed taking trips to the Casino. He enjoyed Mohegan Sun, as well as his yearly trips with his brother Gene & sister-in-law Jean to Las Vegas, New Orleans, the Bahamas & more recently the Encore. Sam was also an avid golfer and for many years, he and his brothers met every Wednesday to play golf together.
He is the beloved son of the late Waldo H. Segee & Helen E. (Spence) Segee. The cherished brother of Richard I. Segee & his late wife Marilyn of Revere, Eugene B. “Gene” Segee & wife Jean of Salem, NH & Ronald M. Segee, whom he shared his home with of Revere. He is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, & grandnephews.

Alfred J. “Al” Ciampi, Sr.

A funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Friday, January 21st at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St., REVERE at 11:00 a.m. & immediately followed with interment in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Al was a Revere native. He was educated in Revere Public Schools and was an alumnus of Revere High School, Class of 1971. Al began driving 10-Wheeler trucks for a living & he worked for many years for Joe Fern Trucking. He later left to work at Speedy Wee Wash Laundry on Broadway in Revere for over 10 years. Al had a great personality and a great sense of humor, everyone that came into the store became a friend. He then went to work at Life Care Center in Stoneham as an Activities Director with the residents. His caring ways and fun-loving personality made sure that the residents would enjoy whichever activity he had planned for them. Al married the love of his life, Carol Nickerson, on July 14, 1979. They remained in Revere where they made their life together & started their family. Al was a dedicated husband & father. First and foremost, Al was a family man, and his persona didn’t change at home. He was also a “D.J.”, typically playing at the Revere Elks for numerous functions. Al also enjoyed his hobby of collecting miniature construction equipment of all sorts and building a large scaled construction sites, similar to train enthusiasts. He would spend hours making the scenery life like with extensive details. He was warm & loving and always making people laugh. He treasured his wife, children & grandchildren.
He is the devoted husband of 43 years to Carol A. (Nickerson) Ciampi of Methuen, formerly of Revere. Loving father of Stacey L. Bowe & her husband Clarence of Seabrook, NH, A.J. Ciampi, Jr. & his wife Dena of Methuen & Jarred M. Ciampi & Toni Robert of Wakefield. Cherished Papa of Alexa, Anthony, Vincent, Baylee & Domenic. Dear brother of Carol Jolly & her husband Michael of Rocky Mount, NC, Clare Urbanowicz & her husband Ralph of Hanson, Camille Beatrice & her husband John of Beverly & late Marie G. “Snookie” Anderson & Francis “Frank” A. Ciampi. He is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews.

Marie A. (Taibi) Lentini

(Taibi) Lentini, who died on Friday, January 14th at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, following a brief illness, she was 94 years old. A funeral will be conducted from the Funeral Home on Saturday, January 22nd at 11:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at in the Immaculate Conception Church, 487 Broadway, EVERETT at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. At the family’s request, all attendees are asked to please wear face coverings and practice social distancing during services at the funeral home & church.
Marie was born in Boston and she was raised in Medford. The family later moved to Stoneham and Marie was educated in Stoneham schools. She went to work in several clothing factories as a young woman as a seamstress. She was very talented and produced excellent work. Marie’s work ethic was instilled in her as a young woman. She worked over 30 years at the Baron Abrahamson Co. Marie later went to work alongside her sister, Yolanda at her Bridal Salon in Everett. Family was the center of her heart; they are what was truly most important to her.
She is the beloved wife of 60 years to the late Benedict C. “Ben” Lentini. Loving mother of Margaret M. Lentini – Cook & her late husband Terry of Atkinson, NH & Paula A. Lentini – Delmonte & her husband James of Methuen. Cherished grandmother of Atty. Nicole M. Cook – Gallant & husband Christopher of Atkinson, NH, Justin C. Cook & fiancé Andrea Gallego of Andover, Michael J. Delmonte of Methuen & Matthew P. Delmonte & fiancé Jamie Raccosta of Worcester. Adored great grandmother of Aidan Cook, Madelynn Cook, Charlotte Gallant, & Jackson Gallant. Anthony S. “Tony” Muollo, Jr.
A private Visitation & Funeral Service was held due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic for Anthony S. “Tony” Muollo, Jr., who died on Wednesday, January 12th at his residence following a brief illness, he was 66 years old.
Anthony began his life as a resident of Everett and later moved with his family to Revere at the age 7. He then became a lifelong resident of Revere, where he was raised & educated. He was an alumnus of Revere High School, Class of 1973. He went on to pursue his education at Suffolk University in Boston and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. Anthony began his career by working for Care About Now as an Outreach Co-coordinator, establishing two new programs in Revere and Winthrop, specializing in individual counseling, group and family counseling, as a drug counselor specialist. He wrote and published informative material used within the school system to educate and advise for the prevention of drug abuse for at risk youth. Anthony furthered his career at D.A.R.E., where he worked closely with the Director of the Department of Youth Services and Psychiatric Nurses in core evaluations, education plans, individual, family and group counseling for crisis intervention, where he helped and offered encouragement to troubled youths. Anthony was inspirational and was dedicated to helping and shaping an important cause. Anthony later desired to try a new career path and became an insurance sales agent; he did that for a while before shifting to automotive sales. He later decided to go on his own, and again shift careers paths. He and his fiancé, Dawn Jeffries, owned & operated the D.A.M. Dart Depot located on Revere Street. They enjoyed operating their business for 21 years and meeting so many people, of which, some would become close friends. On October 14, 2020, Anthony lost his best friend and fiancé, Dawn to her battle with lung cancer. Anthony was heartbroken and then he closed the business. Anthony was a man who loved life and the outdoors. He loved to go camping, hunting & fishing in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Anthony took pride and care in taking his nephews and his niece on their first camping adventure, teaching each of them to fish. He instilled a love of camping and the great outdoors in each of them. Anthony was also a self-taught Martial Arts enthusiast, which was one of his lifelong passions.
He is the beloved son of Dorothy (Maffeo) Muollo of Revere & the late Anthony S. Muollo, Sr. He is the loving fiancé of the late Dawn M. Jeffries. The cherished brother of Donna M. Muollo of Revere, Karen A. McGonagle & husband William “Bill” of Plymouth & Christopher C. Muollo & wife Patricia “Patty” of Groveland. He is the treasured uncle of Sean W. McGonagle & Joseph W. McGonagle, both of Plymouth, Maegan D. Muollo – Diaz & husband Rauly of Dracut & Christopher A. Muollo of Groveland. He is also lovingly survived by his faithful feline companion; “Ziggy Bear” & the late “Hunni-Bear” & “Bubba Lou”. Anthony is also survived by many friends & other loving family members.

Toni Ann DiNanno
A Private Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church for Toni DiNanno, who died on Sunday, January 9th at the CHA – Everett Hospital, due to complications from COVID-19, she was 46 years old.
Toni was a lifelong Revere resident. She was a proud alumna of Revere High School, Class of 1993. Toni was a devoted mother of her three children, nothing was more important her than her children. She was a very active mother and was always present for any event that they were involved in. She was most proud of her children and wanted to see them excel in everything they did. She worked various jobs throughout her life to provide for them. She worked at Biachi’s Pizza on Revere Beach for many years as a “pizza maker” and she also drove a taxi for a period as well. Her most recent job was a Personal Care Assistant for over a year. Family was paramount to Toni, it was what was most important to her and she cherished them.
She is the loving mother of Gregory M. Badolato & his companion Jenna Maglio of Waltham, Gianni S. Badolato & Giabella V. Badolato, both of Revere. She is the longtime companion of Allen R. Johnson of Revere. Beloved daughter of the late Deborah M. Badolato & Richard DiNanno. Treasured sister of Tiffany M. Stec & husband Ryan of Lynnfield & Tiana M. Badolato & companion Leo Tighe of Revere. Cherished granddaughter of Vincella “Dolly” (DiLegro) Badolato of Lynnfield, formerly of Revere & the late Gregory Badolato. Special niece of Frank G. Badolato of Florence, AZ, John M. Badolato & wife Denise M. of Tewksbury, Denise A. Ferrara of Wakefield & Doreen M. Gordon & husband Matthew J. of Lynnfield. Richard C. “Dick” Moscato
Of Winthrop and formerly Revere, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2022 with his wife, Mary Katherine (McGovern) by his side at the Lahey Clinic Hospital in Burlington . Richard “Dick” was born on January 2, 1951, son to the late Vincent and Dorothy (McDougall) Moscato. Married for 37 years, devoted husband and loving father to Lauren Maher and husband Gerald, and adoring grandfather to Ella Maeve.
He leaves behind many beloved family members including his brother, Joseph and wife Roberta, sister, Nancy Amos, sister- in- law Judith Williams and husband Brian and brother- in- law Richard McGovern and wife Colleen, and many nieces and nephews.
Dick cherished the time spent with his family. He raised his family in Wakefield, MA and spent the summers boating and winters skiing at their vacation home in Bridgton, ME. Dick enjoyed volunteering his time to coaching various youth sports teams in Wakefield throughout the years. A few special lifetime memories were his trips to Australia for his daughter’s 21st birthday and to Italy for his 35th wedding anniversary, his daughter’s wedding and the birth of his granddaughter.
Growing up in Revere in the 60s and 70s, everyone had a nickname and got in some kind of trouble. His nickname was “The Bird” as he was the fastest runner on the sports teams, and he was well known for sharing outlandish stories of the “pool room” and the “corner” where everyone knew he was quite the troublemaker.
Following his retirement from the Sheet Metal International Union Local 17, Dick enjoyed golfing, boating, yard work and his annual trips to Florida. He was a longtime member of the Winthrop Yacht Club and Winthrop Elks.
The Moscato family would like to respectfully thank Dr. Edward Jewell of the Vascular Surgery Department at Lahey Clinic and his team for the unconditional care, treatment and support they have given Dick over the past 8 years.
Due to COVID restrictions, Dick’s Celebration of Life will be held at a future date at the Boston University Marsh Chapel. Fellow boaters will be welcomed this summer to the spreading of his ashes at Spectacle Island where he and Mary would spend Sundays picnicking among the sea glass. Salvatore A. Ferrera, Jr.

On Friday, January 7, 2022, Salvatore Anthony Ferrera Jr., loving and devoted husband of 60-years, cherished father of three, proud grandfather to five, and great grandfather of four, passed away with his loved ones by his side. He was 82 years old.
It was his family that gave him the strength to battle through his adversity in life, with class, dignity and respect, always trying to do the right thing to benefit his family. He was quick to offer a ride to school or work, lend an ear to anyone’s troubles and offer advice, or tell a joke to put a smile on his grandchildren’s face.
He served Honorably in the United States Army National Guard for three years.
After his service to his country, Salvatore went on to become a baker, earning a degree in Culinary Arts at the University of Massachusetts Boston. After earning his degree, he went on to teach Culinary Arts at Minute Man Technical Institute in Lexington, MA. He continued on in his professional, decorated career at Boston College, where he served as a Supervisor in the Bakery Department. Being the worker that he was, after retiring from his passion in Baking, he went on to continue working as a Shuttle Bus Driver at Embassy Suites Boston.
In his free time, Salvatore enjoyed reading the newspaper, playing on his phone and computer, spending quality time with his family and pets, and enjoyed having weekly dinners at Kellys Pub in East Boston, where everyone knew him. One of his best joys was playing with his K-9 companion, Mea, his “little girl.”
Salvatore is the son of the late Salvatore Ferrera Sr. and Angelina (Festa) Ferrera of East Boston. Raised by the late Stella Spinale of East Boston. He is survived by his loving wife, Angela (Piscitelli) Ferrera of East Boston. He is the loving and proud father of Michael Salvatore Ferrera Sr., and his late wife Dina (Coccimiglio) Ferrera of Revere – Angela Frangolini and husband Pat Frangolini of East Boston – and Lisa Ferrera August and her husband Paul August of East Boston. Further survived by his brother Dominic Ferrera of California, and sister Jo Zakarin and husband Keith of Maine. Treasured Papa to five grandchildren, Michael Jr., Christopher, Angela, Nicole and Amanda and fiancé, Ryan. Also survived by three great grandchildren, Clayton, Leo and Noah.
Salvatore is survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Papa joins his departed great grandchild, Riley, and sister Alberta Ferrera in Heaven.
Papa, his greatest title, will be missed dearly.

Juan was a native of San Vicente, El Salvador. He met & married his wife, Brigida De Carmen Ayala in El Salvador & 37 years ago, along with their family, they journeyed to the United States. The settled in Chelsea, and it was there they made their home. Juan was a very hardworking man & did what he could to provide for his family. He worked as a packer for a food manufacturing company for over 14 years. He was a proud member of a Mariachi Band, and he loved to play and see people enjoy the music he and his fellow band members played. Juan played the Guitarrón , a large 5 string bass. Although music was very important in his life, nothing was more important than his family.
He is the beloved husband of 49 years to Brigida De Carmen Ayala in El Salvador. Devoted son of Lucia Otilia Arias Viuda de Melendez of El Salvador & the late Angel Melendez. Loving father of Juana Arias & husband De Madrid, Sonia Arias & husband Flores, Juan P. Arias & wife Kenya Burgos, all of Chelsea & Patricia Arias & her companion Ralphael Ayala of Revere. He is the “Papi” of 10 grandchildren and the dear brother of three sisters and one brother, both in the U.S. & El Salvador. He is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews.

Francesca L. “Fran” Amato-Posata

Fran was born on June 13th, 1952 in Palermo, Sicily to her parents Giuseppe Amato & Giovanna (Carollo) Amato. Her parents traveled to the United States when Fran was just months old, settling in East Boston’s “Jeffries Point”. Fran was raised & educated in Eastie. She was an alumna of East Boston High School, Class of 1970. She then enrolled in Boston State College and earned a bachelor’s degree in education. She fulfilled her dream of becoming a teacher. She taught for the City of Boston at the High School level. She loved teaching & taught for over 20 years, but was forced to retire early, due to an illness. She was a very proud mother, and her son David was her pride & joy. She did the best she could to be the best for her son and then later her grandson, David jr. whom she adored. Fran’s happiest days, where when she was at her best, teaching, being a mother, and contributing to make a difference & most of all being with her family whom she loved.
She is the cherished mother of David D. Posata, Sr. of Chelsea. Loving daughter of the late Giuseppe Amato & Giovanna (Carollo) Amato. Dear sister of Ignazio “Zino” Amato & his companion Denise C. Belgiorno of Revere. Adored Nonni of David Posata, Jr. She is also lovingly survived by many family & friends.
