Pancrazio G. “Joe” Cardone

Family & friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours on Tuesday, January 28th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in the Vertuccio & Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Rte. 107) REVERE for Pancrazio G. “Joe” Cardone, who passed following a lengthy illness at Leonard Florence Center for Living in Chelsea on Saturday, January 25th, 2020. His funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Wednesday, January 29th at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St., REVERE at 10:00 a.m. and immediately followed by entombment in Woodlawn Cemetery – Community Mausoleum (Sheffield Bldg.), Everett.

Mr. Cardone was a native of Sicily (in the city of Messina, Italy) & came to the U.S.A. in 1965 with his wife & family, settling in East Boston. They would remain in East Boston until moving to Revere over 25 years ago. Always a gentleman & industrious worker, for his family, he would often work long hours to secure an honorable lifestyle for his family. For almost twenty years, he worked as an Elevator Operator in several of Boston’s office buildings, until he retired at the age of 65 years. True to their heritage & their work ethic, “Joe” was an exemplary family man enjoying the gift of grandchildren & great-grandchildren.

He was the beloved husband of 63 years to Maria (Scibilia) Cardone. Cherished father of Grace Argento & husband Antonio of Revere. Adoring grandfather “Nonno” to Melina Argento of Revere, Jennifer Enos & her husband John W. Enos of Lynn & Anthony Argento, Jr. of Revere. Dear brother to Antonio Cardone of Sicily (Messina) Italy & his wife Rosalia & Rose Cattafi & her husband Stefano of Australia. He is also lovingly survived by his 4 great grandchildren, Julianna Fratus of Revere, John Enos, Jr., Joseph Enos & Jemma Enos, all of Lynn & many proud & caring nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews here in the USA, Italy & Australia.

Wednesday, January 29th at 10:00 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Revere

Entombment

Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett (Sheffield Mausoleum)

We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
