Family & friends are invited to visiting hours on Thursday, November 21st, 2013 in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), Revere, from 4 – 8 p.m. for Paul P. Ristino, Sr., who died on Saturday, November 16th at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, following a year-long illness, at 69 years.  The funeral service will be conducted from the Funeral Home on Friday, November 22nd at 12 Noon.  Interment is private.  Born & raised in Revere, he was a resident until moving to Winthrop in 1995.  For the past 15 years, he worked as a nurse’s aide for the Department of Public Health, Long Term Facilities & also took on private patients as well.  For the past year, a work related accident has prevented him from returning to his work.  He is the beloved father of Paul J. Ristino & his wife Lynn of Revere, Renee L. Pedone & her husband Edward of Saugus, Alyssa M. Thomas & her companion Kenneth Cooper of Revere.  He is the devoted brother of Richard of Sanford, Maine, & the late Joseph Ristino.  He is the cherished grandfather of Lindsey Thomas & her fiancee Jason, Jennifer, Katie Ristino, Andrew & Steven Thomas, all of Revere, Matthew & Kevin Pedone both of Saugus.  He is also survived by Loretta M. Ristino of Revere, & many nieces & nephews.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 60 Walnut St., Wellesley Hills, MA 02481.

Thursday, November 21st, 2013 from 4 – 8 p.m.

Funeral Service

Friday, November 22nd, 2013 at 12 Noon in the Funeral Home.

Interment

Will be private.

On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
