Paula M. “Mia” Grandolfi

Family & friends are invited to attend a Memorial Visitation on Wednesday, August 3, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., in the Vertuccio andGrandolfi, Paula DN WEB PIC Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) Revere for Paula M. “Mia” Grandolfi, who died on Thursday, July 28th surrounded by her loving family, friends and caregivers at her Bridgewell community home in Salem, she was 57 years old.

 

Paula was born in Winthrop and raised in Revere. Paula was “Special” and due to her many challenges, she was limited to her capabilities. However, she was boundless with the love, joy and warmth she shared with the people who were close to her. She would often brighten a room with her warm and innocent presence. She was a former resident of the Tully House of Lynn. She then became part of the Bridgewell Community of Salem. She has spent the last 20 years with some of the same residents and staff.

 

She is the Devoted daughter of the late Cirio “Archie” & Mary (Coggio) Grandolfi. Loving sister of Carolyn McCannon & her husband Charles “Chuckie” of Cambridge and the late Joanne M. Preston, George C. Grandolfi & Dorothy R. Wagg. Dear sister in law of Michael J. “Joe” Preston of Revere, Lorraine Grandolfi of Medford and Harry R. Wagg, II & his wife Maureen of Salem. Cherished aunt of George Grandolfi & his wife Carlene of Framingham, Robert Grandolfi & his wife Robyn of Revere, Jessica McCannon & her husband Ivan Lara of Jamaica Plain and Harry R. Wagg, III & his wife Raegan of Ipswich. Adored grand aunt of Megan, Michael, William, Charlie, Harry & Dorothy. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
