Peter F. Stornaiuolo
Family & friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours on Wednesday, December 7th from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Rte. 107), Revere for Peter F. Stornaiuolo, who died on Sunday, December 4th, following a lengthy illness at his Revere residence. His funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home, following the visitation on Wednesday at 7:15 p.m
Born in Boston, he spent most of his life in East Boston & was a 1975 alumnus of East Boston High School & a graduate of the Boston School of Hair Fashion in Boston. The family left East Boston and came to live in Revere in 1970. Peter worked at local shops in the early part of his career. He opened his own shop on Broadway, Revere “Peter’s Back Hair” in September 1976 & remained there until 2008, when serious illness re-visited him. Peter always maintained one of the most meticulously cared for hair salons in the North Shore Area. Every season demanded total window recreations as well as the entire interior, however, Peter’s passion was Christmas, not only for the decorations & the music, but for his infamous “Holiday Parties”, that never ended. Long, will many of us remember with joy and tears, his welcoming and genuine spirit.
He was the son of the late Carmine J. & Gloria J. (Panto) Stornaiuolo. He is the cherished brother of Jeannette L. Rysinger & her late husband George F. of Brockton, Carmen J. Storniauolo, III & his wife, Jean of Revere & Joseph L. Stornaiuolo of Revere. He is the beloved uncle to John F. Rysinger of Malden, Laura M. Rysinger of Brockton, Jeanal Storniuolo of Revere & Carmen J.”CJ” Stornaiuolo of Charestown, Virginia. He is also loving survived by his faithful best friend, Cheryl Abric-Mei of Lynn, several aunts, uncles & many devoted cousins. Interment will be held privately in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
Peter will be missed. He was a character and I am glad to have known him. I will miss his Halloween and Christmas decorations. He certainly loved to light up the corner of Revere St. and Oxford Park. It hasn’t been easy for him, his family and his friends the past couple of years. Although sad to lose him I am glad his pain is over.
My condolences to Peters’s family and close friends. Peter was a kind and loving soul. Getting your hair done by Peter was always a great experience, not only for his skill with hair but for the conversation. He will truly be missed.
