Ralph D. Zammit

Family & friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours on Monday, November 14th in the Vertuccio & Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Rte. 107) Revere from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., for Ralph D. Zammit, who passed away on November 6th at 72 years of age. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be Private.

Born in Malta, Ralph was the son of Sebastian & Mary Zammit. As a young child, at the age of 2, the family immigrated to the United States and settled in the Boston area, he remained in the Boston and South Shore area. Ralph attended local schools and would eventually become a Master Plumber and he established “Plumber Time”, a company he owned and operated for over 40 years. He retired only a few years ago. Ralph was devoted to his family and enjoyed spending time with family. He also enjoyed fishing and visiting casinos.

He is the former husband of Alice L. Zammit-Baldassari & Margaret Zammit-Donahue. Loving father of Ralph Zammit, Jr. & his late wife Kelly Astrofsky of Dorchester, Rachelle Zammit of Dorchester, Domonic J. Zammit & his wife Michelle Nadeau of Ft. Myers, Florida, Raphael Zammit & his wife Roselyn De Leon of Saugus and Angelo Zammit & his wife Ami Pancholi of Lynn. Cherished grandfather of Skye Brittaney Ortiz, Nico Zammit, Ralph Zammit, III, Shawn Whittier, David Olcott, Domonic Zammit, Jr., Giovanni Zammit, Julian Zammit, Nevaeh Zammit, Aaliyah Zammit, Colby Zammit & Virgo Vyara Zammit. Treasured great grandfather of Sienna Nee, Rheya Nee, Giabella Nee, Alyssa Zammit, Amiyah Zammit. Dear brother of Sebastian Zammit, Anthony Zammit, Mary Nicotera, Rose Zammit, Nina Farrell, Andy Zammit, Georgina Noyes, Charles Zammit and the late Silvia Zammit & Marguerite “Maggie” Zammit. He is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews & cousins.

On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
