Ralph F. Forgione, II

A private Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, January 28th for Ralph F. Forgione, II at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett, who passed following a brief illness on Sunday, January 24th at his Revere residence in the presence of his loving God and devoted family.

Born and educated in Revere, he was an alumnus of Revere High School, Class of 1951. In September of 1952, he enlisted in the US Air Force at the time of the Korean Conflict. Ralph would serve for 4 years and was discharged on Sept. 2, 1956 with the rank of Airman First Class. He began a working career with J.N. Phillips Glass Co. as a glass glazier & quickly rose in position in the managerial department and retired in 1987, with 38 years of service. Ralph was born into an era of unmatchable work ethic, with the sole purpose of providing the very best for his wife and children. And to that, he did splendidly, enjoying beyond measure the little precious time he had with his wife and children. During his younger years, he maintained 2 and 3 jobs, he was indeed “a family man” barring none.

He was the most beloved husband of 62 years to the late Mary E. (McNamara) Forgione, who passed on May 14th, 2020. He is the cherished father to Ralph R. Forgione, III & his wife Linda, Joan M. Forgione & her husband Dennis Forgione, Thomas F. Forgione & Frederick J. Forgione, all of Revere & Edward R. Forgione & his wife Sheryl of Winthrop. He is the very proud grandfather to Kasey L. MacLean & her husband Robert of Scituate, Ryan Forgione & his wife Jessica of Brighton, Lauren Ward & her husband Benjamin of Sarasota Springs, New York, Amber Forgione of Revere, Adrianna Forgione of Chelsea, Laritza Forgione of Lynn, Priscila Forgione of Maui, Hawaii & Jake Forgione of Winthrop. Dear brother of Richard Forgione of Revere & the late Robert Forgione. He is also lovingly survived by his great granddaughter, Charlotte MacLean & his faithful & caring brother-in-law and best friend & wife Thomas Rossetti & his wife Ruth of Revere.

Remembrances may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959

We would like to announce that after 37 years of caring for thousands of families at our 773 Broadway location, on January 31st, 2023 we will be officially RELOCATING, to our new location at 262 Beach St., Revere.
On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
Thank you for your friendship and continued support.
God bless you all.
