Richard W. Calla
Funeral services & interment were held privately at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden, for Richard W. Calla, who died unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 23, 2014, after being rushed to Whidden Memorial Hospital, Everett, from his Revere home, at 73 years. Born in Arlington, his early years were there, while attending Somerville schools & graduating from Somerville High School, Class of 1959. The family moved to East Boston, where he would live for over 25 years, before moving to Medford. He lived in Medford for several years, before moving to “Jack Satter House” on Revere Beach Boulevard in 2007. He is an Army Veteran of the Viet-Nam era. He was a Postal Clerk for the United States Postal Service before moving onto AT&T as a Senior Technician, retiring after 25 years of service. He is survived by his devoted children: Lisa A. Feeley & her husband Sean of Martinsburg, West Virginia, & David W. Calla of Peabody. He is the cherished grandfather of Alexander E., Patrick-Richard & Felicia V. Feeley, all of Martinsburg, WV. He is the dear brother of Ralph L. Calla of Miami, Florida, & the son of the late: William & Antoinette (DeAngelis) Calla. My condolences to all of Rich’s family. He was a good guy. I am sure that he is in Floramos of Heaven right now resting in peace
