Robert E. Sullivan, Sr.

Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, April 2nd from 5:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith, Sullivan, Robert E SrHome for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) Revere, for Robert E. Sullivan, Sr., who passed away Tuesday, March 24th at Epoch Senior Healthcare in Melrose, following a long illness. A Graveside Service will be conducted at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, 150 Lake St. Peabody, on Friday, April 3rd at 11:00a.m. Attendees are asked to meet directly at the cemetery gate at 10:45 a.m.

Born and raised in Revere, he was an alumnus of Revere High School, Class of 1955. As a young man, & ultimately as an adult, he continued to work for many Revere Beach concessions and amusements. He retired as a shipper for the former Bob’s Discount.

 
He was the beloved husband of the late Celia P. (Rost-DeCelis) Sullivan , who passed away in November 2002. Devoted father of Robert E. Sullivan Jr. of Everett, Charles E. Sullivan of Lynn, Michael J. Sullivan and his wife Karen of Melrose and the late Richard J. Sullivan. He is the dear brother of Paul Sullivan and his wife Madeline of New Bedford and the late Dorothy Vito. Cherished grandfather of Charles E. Jr, Eric M., Daniel J., and Toni-Marie. Bob was a long time member of the Revere Lodge of Elks #1171. Interment will be at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.

We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
