Robert H. Pesce

Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday, May 17th, 2014 in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), Revere, beginning at 1 p.m. for Robert H. Pesce, who died unexpectedly on Friday, May 9th at his Everett residence, at 62 years.  The funeral service will follow the visitation in the funeral home at 3:15 p.m.  Born & raised in Everett, he lived there all his life, graduating from Everett High School, Class of 1969.  For over twenty years, he had a working career with the City of Everett, within the Water Department.  He was both in the field & worked as a meter reader.  Over twelve years ago, “Bob” became very ill & successfully underwent double  transplant surgery, receiving a kidney & liver transplant.  He enjoyed a complete recovery in spite of the many ongoing effects of transplant surgery.  “Bob” maintained a positive outlook & attitude throughout his tedious illness.  He is the beloved father of Tyla E. Pesce of Revere.  He is the devoted brother of: Natale A. “Ned” Pesce, Jr. & his wife Angela of Methuen, formerly of Everett, Frances M. Pesce & her companion Deborah Saperia of Framingham, & the late Anthony Pesce.  He is also lovingly survived by his former wife, Elizabeth A. “Liz” (Lovetere) Pesce of Revere.  He was the son of the late, Natale A. Pesce, Sr. & Mary (Bono) Pesce.  Several nieces, nephews, & cousins also survive him.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 85 Astor Ave., Norwood, MA 02062.

We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
