Ronald P. McClay
Family & friends are invited to visit with the family on Tuesday, June 26th, 2012 beginning at 10 a.m., in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), Revere, for Ronald P. McClay, who died on Sunday, June 24th at the Whidden Memorial Hospital, following a brief illness, at 76 years. The funeral service will be conducted in the Funeral Home at 11 a.m., followed by interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Born in Boston, “Ron” was raised in Everett & Chelsea, and moved to Revere 21 years ago. He retired in 1997, as a Supervisor for Center House of Jamaica Plain, a resident home for the handicapped. He had been at Center House for over 20 years. After that retirement, he was the delivery person for the former “Floral Studio” of Revere for over 4 years. Ron leaves his wife, of 30 years, Roberta B. (Dell’Orfano) McClay. He is the devoted brother of John McClay of Manhattan, New York, & the late Richard McClay, Jr. He was also the dear Son of the late Richard & Lillian (O’Brien) McClay. Ron served in the United States Army during peactime from March of 1958 – March of 1960.
