Rose M. (Leone) Mazzone

Family & Friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours on Monday, May 8th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Vertuccio and Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) REVERE, for Rose M. (Leone) Mazzone, who died on Thursday, May 4th at Benchmark Senior Living at Putnam Farm in Danvers, following a long illness. Her funeral will be conducted from the Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 9th at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church (Corner of Beach St. & Winthrop Ave.) Revere at 11:30 a.m.

Rose was raised & educated in East Boston and she was an alumna of East Boston High School, Class of 1946. Rose married Frank S. Mazzone and the couple settled in Revere, where they began their family.  Rose worked for many years as a Billing Clerk for Boston Water & Sewer. Her devotion & love for her family was her top priority. She loved being surrounded by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Rose was always known to be a very stylish & beautiful woman, both inside & out. Rose resided in Revere for almost 50 years, her and her husband then resided in Mesa, AZ for several years, before moving back to Revere.

She is the beloved wife of the late Frank S. Mazzone with whom she shared 60 years of marriage prior to his death in 2006. She is the devoted mother of Frank S. Mazzone, Jr. & his wife Donna of Manchester by the Sea, Allesandra M. Palladino & her husband Rocco A. of West Peabody & Steven C. Mazzone of Kingwood, TX. She is the cherished grandmother of Tara A. Murphy & her husband Matthew of Revere, Jennifer DiFilippis & her husband Rocco of Kenosha, WI, Alyssa A. Morales & her husband Christopher of West Peabody, Katherine Warren & her husband Tyler of Missoula, MT, Gabriella & Christina Mazzone, both of Kingwood, TX & the late Anthony R. Palladino. Adored great grandmother of Leo, Rocco, Alessandra & Francesca. Dear sister of Antoinette Vangel of Orients Heights, East Boston, Diana Burns of Mesa, AZ, George Leone of Winthrop & the late Lawrence T. Leone, Lucy Gaito, Sabina Carideo & Grace Krabey. Rose is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
