Services were held privately at the family’s request, on Tuesday, January 21st, 2014 in the Vertuccio and Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) in Revere, for Stacy L.Walsh, who died in a tragic automobile accident on Saturday, January 18th in Seabrook, NH at 22 years.  Stacy was born & raised in West Newbury.  She was educated in the West Newbury School system.  She attended the Pentucket Region High School.  While growing up, Stacy had many interests and was active in many extracurricular activities and sports.  She enjoyed playing soccer, gymnastics, horseback riding and cheerleading.  Her passions did not stop with organized sports; she also loved photography, country music, and would frequently enjoy “Line Dancing.”  She was also a well known “Boston Bruins” Fan.  Stacy was a former employee at The Atria Assisted Living Complex in Newburyport, where she worked in the kitchen and as a server.  She made many of the residents smile with her warm face and beautiful smile.  While she was working, she was also studying to complete her Certification to become an EMT.  She is the most beloved daughter of Richard M. Walsh & Lorna M (D’Apolito) of West Newbury.  She is the cherished sister to Matthew R. Walsh of West Newbury.  The loving granddaughter to Phyllis M. Walsh of Revere & the late Laurence E. Walsh and the late Raymond & Lorraine R. (Babine) D’Apolito.  She is also lovingly survived by many aunts, uncles & cousins.  She was also the adored friend to many.

On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
