Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, April 21st, 2014 in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), Revere, beginning at 9:30 a.m. for Thomas L. LeBlanc, who died following a lengthy illness at the Lighthouse Nursing Care Center of Revere on Thursday, April 17th, at 94 years.  The funeral mass will be held following the visitation at 11:30 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church (corner of Beach St. & Winthrop Ave.), Revere, followed by interment in Puritan Lawn Memorial Cemetery, West Peabody.  Tom was born & raised in East Boston, attended grammar school at Most Holy Redeemer Parish of East Boston, & he graduated from East Boston High School, Class of 1937.  He entered the United States Army in April of 1942 & served until November of 1945.  In 1947, he & his family moved to Revere, where he remained until his passing.  For over 40 years, Tom owned & operated “Tom’s East Boston Auto School,” located at 387 Meridian St., East Boston.  Tom estimated that he taught over 4,000 people at his auto school over the years, to drive & apply for their Massachusetts license.  Over the years, he & his late wife, Josephine S. (Fazio), made many friends through their business venture.  Tom was a former member of both the East Boston Kiwanis & the Revere Kiwanis Club.  His dear wife of 70 years, Josephine, died on November 29th, 2012.  He is the cherished father of Thomas W. LeBlanc of Revere, & the late: Ronald E. & Deborah LeBlanc.  He is the devoted grandfather of: Heather LeBlanc of North Carolina, Danielle Morello & her husband Michael of Lynnfield, & Christopher LeBlanc of Peabody.  He was the dear brother of the late: Adele Fazio, Rose & Beatrice LeBlanc, Hazel Coleman, Louise Martel, Joseph & Edward LeBlanc.  He was the son of the late, Louis & Odessa (Clements) LeBlanc.  He is also lovingly survived by his two great-granddaughters, Madison & Alivia Morello, & several dedicated & caring nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews.

We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
