Vincent “Vinny” Grieco

Family & friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours on Friday, July 22nd from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in the Vertuccio & Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Rte. 107) REVERE for Vincent “Vinny” Grieco, of 140 Falcon St., East Boston, who passed away peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by family at his daughter and son-in-law’s home in Newbury, NH on July 15th, 2022. A Funeral Service will be conducted in the Funeral Home on Saturday, July 23rd at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.

Vinny was born on January 3, 1937 and was a cherished and loved father, father-in-law, grandfather “Beba”, beloved partner, brother, uncle, and friend. He was well known in East Boston, the city where he lived his best life. He especially enjoyed the club, the beach, dancing, karaoke, and Santarpio’s. Vinny retired from the MBTA after a long, successful career, freeing up his golden years to live his life to the fullest. He was happiest when he was with his family and friends, and he will be missed dearly by all who loved and were loved by him.

Vinny is survived by his beloved, Kathy Pacitto. He is the devoted father of Eric Grieco & his wife Kimberly (Vizinho) Grieco and Kristen (Grieco) Schultz & her husband Stephen Schultz. Cherished grandfather of Christopher Grieco & his fiancé Kristin Murphy, Aimee Grieco, Ella Morey, Ryan Grieco, & Tyler Grieco. Dear brother of Ercolino “Eddie” Grieco, Rita Grieco, Natalie Green, Rosemarie Obrien, Lana Foster and the late Anthony J. Grieco, Alexander “Lefty” Grieco, Lucy Rallo & Anna Babcock. Devoted son of the late Ercole and Carmella Grieco. He is also lovingly survived by lots of nieces and nephews & even more great nieces and nephews.

    So sorry to hear of his passing, and thou we only met him a couple of times at the house, he always had smile and brought joy to you folks just being there. Reading his Bio, he was someone to be around with, a good friend to all those who knew him, his family and to the community where he lived.     We were so sad to hear of Vinny’s passing. He was a wonderful man and we loved him. He and Tom were friends for 80 years. He will be deeply missed by everyone whose life he touched.

    So very sorry to hear of Vinny’s passing. Though I haven’t seen him for some time, I will always remember him with a smile. He was a great person; kind, caring, and one of best dancers I have ever had the pleasure of dancing with. Rest in peace, Vinny.

    We are sorry to hear of Vinny’s passing. Although we never met him, just from your words we feel a connection. He seemed full of life. Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
