William J. “Willy” Gleeson, III

Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, May 1st from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith Gleeson, William J IIIHome for Funerals 773 Broadway (Route 107) Revere for William J. “Willy” Gleeson, III, who passed away unexpectedly in East Boston on April 26th. A funeral will be conducted from the funeral home at 7:00 p.m.

Born & raised in East Boston, he attended Boston Public Schools. He is a graduate of Madison Park Vocational & Technical High School, Class of 2009. Shortly after graduating, Willy began working as an auto mechanic mastering his trade. He was a mechanic for Phil Romano Trucking in East Boston.

He is the devoted father of Kourtney R. Gleeson and husband of Kristie A. (Sanseverino) Gleeson. Cherished son of William J. Gleeson, Jr. of East Boston and Lisa M. DiMauro of Farmington, NH. Beloved grandson of William J. Gleeson, Sr. and Josephine M. “Joanne” (Russo) Gleeson of East Boston and Sebastian and Rose M. DiMauro of Deltona, FL. Dear brother of Chenelle M. Gleeson and her fiancée Jeff Doucette of Everett, Alise M. Niolet and her husband Marcus of Concord, NH and Serina DiSciscio of Farmington, NH. Also lovingly survived by his niece, Luciana Niolet, his in-laws; Louis and Julie (Pari) Sanseverino of East Boston and he is the dear brother in law of Louis, Kayla and Brianna Sanseverino, all of East Boston and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Interment will be private.

    We have no words. Our hearts are broken. Willie was always so respectful and the first to help with anything that you needed. I will miss his smile and he will always be in my heart. We will miss him terribly.

We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
