Zizza III and his wife Serena of Saugus. Loving great grandfather of Angelica Maria and Giulia Grace Zizza of Saugus. Also survived by many loving cousins and nieces and nephews. Dear son of the late Frank E. and Lillian May (Shackford) Strecker Sr. Mr. Strecker is a past Governor and Pilgrim Degree of Merit recipient of the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge 1272 Revere. Life member of Beachmont Elks, Beachmont VFW and American Legion. Past Commodore Beachmont Yacht Club. Retired owner of the former Strecker Press. Languirand, Sr., who died on Easter Sunday, his 64th birthday, after a long illness in the Lighthouse Nursing Care Center of Revere, at 64 years. Born & raised in Salem, he attended Salem schools. Most of his working career was in the construction field. Before his illness took hold, he owned & operated his own business, known as “The Handyman of Winthrop”. Before moving to Winthrop in 1989, he & his family lived previously in Newton, Randolph & Watertown. He leaves his beloved & devoted wife of 42 years, Louisa M. (Casamento) Languirand. He is the cherished son of Althea E. (Simard) Languirand & the late Arthur A. He is the devoted father of: Ronald J. Languirand, Jr. & his fiancee Candace Trinque of Leominster, & Arthur A. Languirand & his fiancee Rebecca Lescay of Winthrop, Wendy Languirand of Oregon, Crystal Languirand & Betsy Kusa both of Dracut. Earl Kent Burton, Jr.

The funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by interment at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA. Born in Melrose and raised in Lawrence, he attended Lawrence schools & continued onto Northeastern University, graduating in 1964. In December of 1964, he entered the U.S. Army, during the Vietnam Era, rising to the rank of Captain & served until November of 1975. He had a brilliant career in the military & was the recipient of a Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, for 5 campaigns, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device, The Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm & The Armed Forces Reserve Medal. He retired from the Federal Bankruptcy Court at Boston, as a Budget Analyst, after twenty-five years of service in 2007. He is survived by his beloved wife & best friend for over 30 years, Carol A. (Walsh) Burton. The couple have lived in Revere for over 24 years. He is the devoted father of: Laura Hollis & her husband William of Whitman & Debra Kaake & her husband Douglas C. Kaake, II of Plymouth. He is the cherished grandfather of: Kristina, Gregory, Angelica, Joseph, Douglas, Daniel, Olivia & the late Jennifer. He is the brother of: Katherine Giles & her husband Raymond of Salem, NH. He is also lovingly survived by two great granddaughters, Fiona & Alanna and two nieces, Katherine Poirier & her husband Timothy of Celebration , FL & Patricia Scala & her husband Christopher of Salem, NH. Paul W. Pruitt

Pruitt, who died on Monday, March 31st, following a long & arduous struggle with Cardiac Disease at Eastpointe Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of Chelsea. The funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday following the visitation at 8 p.m. Born in Union, South Carolina, Paul spent all of his life in Revere, graduating from Revere High School in 1973, with his identical twin brother, John R. Pruitt. Paul also attended Bunker Hill Community College. For over 30 years, Paul worked in a managerial positions for Kelley’s Roast Beef on Revere Beach. He also worked part time for McDonald’s locally. He was an alumnus of McDonald’s Burger College & was awarded the “Silver Spatula”. However, Paul’s passion was baseball & his drive to teach & instruct the game to young children. From 1986 – 2003, he was the Freshman Baseball Coach for St. John’s Preparatory School of Danvers. He was also the past Vice – President of the Revere Little League & one of the founders of of the Revere Little League “Giants”. His enthusiasm for baseball & of all things “The Boston Red Sox” is legendary. As a teenager, he began to step into the role of “Mentor”, for almost anyone who sought his advice, instruction & expertise. It is an understatement to refer to his generosity, both financially n& emotionally and that he was generous to a fault. Paul was the son of the late Paul R. & Joan (Altri) Pruitt. He is the devoted identical twin brother to: John R. Pruitt & his wife, Revere School Committee- Woman, Donna Wood-Pruitt. He is also brother to to Mary Vigliotta & her husband Gerardo “Jerry” of Revere. He is the uncle of: Kristen Wood & Robert Wood & his wife Jennifer and their children Olivia & Addison all of Revere. He is also lovingly survived by Lucy (Camacho) Patrie & her daughters, Nayade Toro & Joanne Rivera & their children, Justin Devin, Ashley, Sophia, Diego & Kamila, also surviving Lucy’s mom, Mami Alda Velez & her daughter, Maria “Vicki” Tejada & her son Luis Tejada all of Chelsea. He is also the faithful & loving surrogate brother to Waldirene Lemos of Winthrop. Paul enjoyed a large extended family of friends & coworkers all of his adult life. Interment is Private. Carmen A. Moretti
Services have been held for Carmen A. Moretti, of Revere, who died at the Mount Auburn Hospital, Cambridge on Saturday, March 22nd, unexpectedly at 88 years. Born & raised in Boston’s North End, he was educated in Boston Schools & entered the US Navy, in June of 1943 & served until April of 1946, as a Ship’s Cook, 2nd Class. He worked as a young man for the National Biscuit Co. of Boston & Converse Rubber Co., for many years. He retired in 1991 as a custodian from M.I.T. in Cambridge, after 12 years of service. He is the devoted & beloved husband of 63 years to RoseMarie A. “Babe” (LaCortiglia) Moretti, the couple lived in Beverly for over 30 years, before moving to Revere, 40 years ago. Besides his wife, he is lovingly survived by many nieces & nephews, grand nieces & grand nephews. He is the son pf the late John & Maria (Censale) Moretti. Interment was private. She worked as a Comptometer Operator (comptometers were the parents of today’s computers) for General Electric of Lynn. She worked there for about ten years before marrying & moving to Revere. She lived in the Point of Pines section of Revere for over 40 years, before moving to Brooksby Village 9 years ago. She is the beloved wife of 58 years to Arthur E. Weaver, Sr. She is the devoted mother of Arthur E. Weaver, Jr & his wife Donna of Oviedo, FL, & David M. Weaver of Tewksbury. She is also the cherished grandmother of Andrew E. Weaver of Oviedo, FL, David M. Weaver, Jr. & Jessica N. Weaver both of Wilmington. She is also lovingly survived by her adoring niece, Linda Hurley – Del Vecchio & her husband Robert & their children, Sean, Shannon & Siobhan all of Chatham. Craig P. Melanson

Melanson, who died on Tuesday, March 11th at Massachusetts General Hospital, following a long struggle with Cardiac Disease at 36 years old. His funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Saturday, March 15th at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in the Immaculate Conception Church (corner of Beach St. & Winthrop Ave.) Revere at 10:30 a.m.. The family moved to Saugus over 30 Years ago. Craig was an Alumnus of Saugus High School, Class of 1995. Craig has been battling Cardiac Disease for several years, disabling him from the work force. However, he did work as a Zamboni Operator for several of the area skating rinks. Craig is the beloved husband of nine years to Leonides (Ortiz). Cherished son of Laura M. (Morani) Melanson-Datserakis and her husband George of Saugus, Kenneth Melanson and his wife Shirley of Sandown, NH. Devoted grandson of George and Carmella (Oliva) Morani-Manfra of Middleton and Cecelia Guilloty of Chelsea. Dear brother of Kenneth R. “Rick” Melanson and his companion Melanie Hart of Lynn, Ryan M. Born in Lynn, Mr. Olsen was a life long resident of Revere’s Oak Island Section. A graduate of Revere High School in 1943, he went onto join the U.S. Navy in August of 1943, serving until April 19, 1946. In 1954 he began his 34 year career with the Revere Fire Department, retiring as Captain in 1988. Henry was a long – time member of the V.F.W. Post #6712 of Beachmont & National Association of D.A.V.. He leaves behind his wife of sixty years, Dorothy M. (Jacobs) Olsen of Revere. He is the devoted father of, James G. Olsen & his wife Joyce of Newburyport, Karen S. DeVincentis & her husband Carl of Rowley, Susan M. Olsen of Revere & Dr.Nancy R. Olsen – Waldron, PhD. & her partner John O’Brien of Winthrop.
