Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, December 11th from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Vertuccio and Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) Revere for Arthur H. Smaldone, Sr. who died on Sunday, December 8th at the Whidden Memorial Hospital of Everett, following a long illness, just 13 days before his 85th birthday.  His funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Thursday, December 12th at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at Immaculate Conception Church (corner of Beach  St. & Winthrop Ave.) Revere at 10:30 a.m.  Born and raised in East Boston, he was a 1946 alumnus of East Boston High School.  He entered the U.S. Army in March of 1951 during the Korean Conflict and served until March of 1957.  In 1968, he and his family moved to Revere where he remained until his death.  Most of his working career was in property management as a carpenter.  He also worked privately as a carpenter until his retirement.  He leaves his beloved wife of 62 years, Rosemarie J. (Coroniti).  He is the devoted father of Arthur H. Smaldone, Jr. & his wife Carol Ann, and Barbara A. Mauro & her husband John T. all of Revere, and Denise P. Dotolo & her husband Steven A. of West Peabody.  He is the cherished grandfather of: Lauren R. Smaldone & her partner Courtney Perry, Carla A. Dipesa & her husband Christopher, and Victoria R. & John A. Mauro all of Revere, and Nikolas S. & Gabrielle E. Dotolo, both of West Peabody.  He is also the dear brother of Lorraine Denaro & her late husband Frank of Rowley, Mary Carlough & her husband Herbert of Brewster and Loretta Bruno & her husband Anthony of Malden.  He is also lovingly survived by many nieces & nephews.  Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.  In lieu of flowers: Remembrances may be made to ALL CARE HOSPICE, 210 Market St., Lynn, MA 01901.

Family & friends are invited to attend a Memorial Funeral Mass on Friday, December 6th at 9:00 a.m. , in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 670 Washington Ave., Revere, for Alice M. (Ferlewicz) Steblecki, who passed after a lengthy illness on Tuesday, November 26th at Melrose – Wakefield Hospital, Melrose.  Born & raised in Jersey City, New Jersey, she lived in the Upper Montclair, NJ area most of her life, before moving to Melrose, MA , almost 20 years ago.  Mrs. Steblecki worked for over 20 years for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Manhattan, NY, retiring as an Assistant Comptroller.  A most proud and devoted Mom, she was a devout Roman Catholic and sought out a membership at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Revere.   Until recently she was most active in the church.  Two of her daughters, Edith & Elaine are totally involved within the music ministry at the church.  She is the wife of the late, William Steblecki, who passed away in 1993.  She is the cherished & devoted mother to, Barbara A., Edith J. & Elaine A. Steblecki all of Melrose.  She is also the dear sister of Edith Klucewicz of Whiting, NJ & Veronica Gallins of New Jersey.  Several loving nieces & nephews also survive her.  Alice was often entertained & comforted by the Boston Catholic Television Network. (Callis) Davis, who died unexpectedly on Sunday, September 15th, after being rushed to the Whidden Memorial Hospital.  Her funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home , following the visitation at 1:15 p.m.  Born and raised in Boston’s South End, she came to live in Revere over 28 years ago.  Deborah worked as a salesperson most of her working career in retail trade.  She was a most devoted mother, grandmother & niece.  Deborah suffered the tragic loss of her dear son, Jerome D. “Pooch” Davis on September 15, 2009.  Since his untimely death, Deborah has been in failing health.  Although, uncanny, this coincidence will serve as a consolation & blessing to he remaining beloved family.  She is the devoted mother of, Taheen R. Davis & Lakeisha S. Davis both of Revere.  She is the cherished grandmother of, Krisean McCann of Indiana,  Tahliyah Davis & Malaysia both of Boston & Ja’Shayla Davis of Revere.  She is the loving niece of Evella “Eve” Lopes of Boston & the beloved sister of Michael K. Callis of Revere.  She was the daughter of the late, Cleveland & Ella (Bogan) Callis.  Interment will be Private.  In lieu of flowers, Rememberances may be made directly to the Family.

(Palladino) Dudley, who died on Monday, September 9th at Boston Medical Center, Boston after a brief illness.  Her funeral service will follow the visiting hours at 7:15 p.m. in the Funeral Home.  Born & raised in Revere, Mrs. Dudley was a life long Revere resident & a 1943 alumna of Revere High School.  She was a homemaker all her life.  She was a member of the East Boston Pace Health Program.  She was the wife of the late, Arthur D. Dudley who died November of 1985.  She is the devoted mother of Paul Dudley & his wife Deborah of Seabrook, NH, Robin A. Sullivan & her husband Joseph of New Ipswich, NH & the late Diane M. Stanchi, Jr. , who died on Friday, September 6th at the Chelsea Soldiers’ Home Chelsea, following a long illness.  Born & raised in Boston’s North End, he attended Boston Schools & lived with his family in Boston’s North End, until moving to Revere in 1955.  He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict for about 4 years.  He was a machine operator & fence installer for several area construction companies.  He was a long time member of St. Anthony of Padua Parish & also was a long time member of the Joseph Mottollo Post #4524 of Revere.  He was the beloved son of the late, Robert R. , Sr. & Mary (Sicurello) Stanchi.  He is the dear brother of the late Richard R. & Carmen A. Stanchi.  He is the loving brother-in-law of Rachel E. Stanchi of Wilmington & the late Erna M. Stanchi.  He is the cherished uncle to Michelle M. Stanchi of Wilmington, Michael R. Stanchi & his wife Kathryn “Kate” of Winthrop & Conrad Dampolo & his wife Elizabeth of Saugus.  He is also lovingly survived by several cousins.  Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.  Interment is Private.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the “Patients Recreation Fund” at Chelsea Soldiers’ Home  91 Crest Ave., Chelsea, MA 02150.

(Hewitt) Duval who died on Thursday, September 5th at Massachusetts General Hospital, following a long illness.  Born & raised in Cambridge, Mrs. Duval came to live in Revere over 60 years ago.  For over 20 years, she worked as a salesperson for the former Jordan Marsh Co. of Boston (Macy’s) , retiring in 1985.  She is the mother of her devoted daughter, Donna D. Messenger of Revere.  She was the sister of the late, Eileen Stone & Harvey Hewitt & the companion of the late Richard Burgess.  She was also the widow of the late Raymond F. Duval, Jr.  She was also the daughter of the late, Robert & Maryanne (Bailey) Hewitt.  The Reverend Edgar A. Gutierrez-Durate, Pastor of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Chelsea will be the celebrant of the Graveside Service on Friday , September 13th at 1p.m., where Mrs. Duval had been a long time parishioner.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoc.,  480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.

Angelo A. “Sonny” Todisco

"Sonny" Todsico Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) Revere from 4 to 8 p.m., for Angelo A. “Sonny” Todisco, who died following a lengthy illness at Beth Israel – Deaconess Hospital , Boston on Wednesday, September 4th.  A funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Monday, September 9th at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in the Immaculate Conception Church (Corner of Beach St. & Winthrop Ave.) , Revere at 10:30 a.m.. “Sonny” was born in Boston’s North End & came to live in Revere at the age of One year old.  He attended Revere schools & was a 1948 alumnus of Revere High School.  He entered the Military in 1951 & completing his term with the Army Reserve in January of 1957.  He returned to school & secured his Insurance Adjusters License .  For many years he worked at Wonderland Dog Track & also in the construction field.  In 1978, he joined forces with Mr. William J. DePiano, Jr. & formed DePiano & Todisco Adjusters, INC.  and was the Principal of the corporation,  specializing in all types of insurance claims and losses.  Theirs’ was a thirty plus year partnership & unique friendship.  Their friendship has brought not only themselves but their families into an extended family scenerio.  “Sonny” did maintain an energetic & interesting schedule, with the many political, fraternal & community organizations, he supported.  He was a member of the American Legion Post #61, the Revere Soccorso Club, the Revere Loyal Order of the Moose, the Revere Knights of Columbus-Council #179,  & Local #2168 of the Carpenters Union.  He was also past President & Member of the Revere Kiwanis Club & Revere Chamber of Commerce.  Two of his fondest associations, was with the Revere Planning Board & his seat with the Board of Directors at the Revere federal Savings & Loan association.  His participation was always consistent, humble & industrious.  He loved to be busy & useful and in spite of his long battle with failing health he maintained that enthusiasm to the end.  For the past eight years, since declining health, his beloved & faithful wife of 62 years, June J. (Catalucci) Todisco, has been his constant companion.  Their 62nd wedding anniversary is the day of his funeral (September 9th).  However you deem to acknowledge this wonderful coincidence or gentle phenomena, it brings comfort.  Sonny is the proud & devoted father to, Donna M. DiGiovanni & her husband  Anthony of Peabody and Revere Fire Captain Thomas S. Todisco & his wife Joanne E. of Revere.  He is also the cherished grandfather of Steven M. Todisco & His wife Sarah of Georgetown,  Bryan T, Todisco of Revere,  Danielle J. Kempe and her husband David of Quincy and David A, DiGiovanni of Peabody & Lowell.  He is also the very dear brother to Phyllis M. Todisco & her partner, John F. Murphy of Revere.  Sonny was also the brother in law of the late Roberta L. “Bobbie” Catalucci.  Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.  In Lieu of flowers rememberances may be made to: The American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701-9367

Phyllis M. Hanson

Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, September 6th in the Vertuccio and Smith Home for Phyllis M. HansonFunerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) Revere begining at 9 am, for Phyllis M. Hanson, who died Wednesday, September 4th, following a brief illness at the Lighthouse Nursing Care Center of Revere.  The visitation will be followed by a funeral mass in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St., Revere at 11 a.m..  A native of Chelsea, she attended St. Rose Grammar School & was a 1943 Alumna of St. Rose High School & was a 1943 alumna of Emmanuel College.  She was the beloved daughter of the late Elizabeth (Dobbyns) Hanson & Chelsea Firefighter Clarence F. Hanson.  After College , Phyllis had the opportunity to travel with her father  when he left Chelsea and became a Federal Fire Chief for the government, serving all over the world.  She would spend the next 15 years, traveling with her father to India, The Islands & Barbados.  Her adventures with her dad became her most cherished memories.  In September of 1964 she began her career with the Chelsea School System, teaching business course & ultimately took a position as a Guidance Counselor at Chelsea High School, where she retired in June of 1998.  She is a member of the Retired Chelsea Teachers Association & the Retired Massachusetts Teachers Association.  When Phyllis was just 6 years old, she suffered the loss of her mom.  Her father, knowing the need for a Mothers presence in the home, he married , his wife’s sister, Mary (Dobbyns) to help raise & nurture his children.  Mary became a mentor & inspiration to Phyllis, the love & memory of that union remained with her until her death.  She is the sister of the late, Arthur & Robert Hanson, She is the devoted aunt to Bettina Virgin & her husband Carl of Ogunquit, ME. , Sr. Claire Hanson, S.P.,  Christine M. Bishop, Paula E. Dalis & her husband Philip, all of Stoneham,  Kimberly Robinson & her husband , Brad of York, ME., & the late Aileen G. Robblee.  She is also lovingly survived by several grand nieces and grand nephews.  Interment will be Private.  Remembrances may be made to your favorite Charity.

DelMuto, who died after a long illness on Thursday, August 29th at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Medford.  A funeral mass will follow the visitation in the Sacred Heart Church, 35 Brooks Street  East Boston at 11:30 a.m..  Born & raised in East Boston, he was a 1942 Alumnus of East Boston High School.  He entered the U.S. Navy in June of 1943 & served until December 1945.  For all of his working career, he was a Master Finish Carpenter.  He worked for the Carpenters Union, local #33  & he was also self – employed.  He retired at age 65 & for the past twenty years, was a resident patient at Chelsea Soldiers’ Home.  For many years “Freddie” was a volunteer in the Adjutant General’s Office at the Chelsea Soldiers’ Home.   He was the Son of the late Frank & Philomena (Raimondi) DelMuto.  He is the cherished father of: Doreen P. Miele & her Husband John of Medford,  Sandra L. “Sandy” Osterweil & her Husband Alan of Saugus,  Alfred “Freddie” DelMuto & his wife Sharon and Frank DelMuto & his wife Maria all of East Boston.  He is the devoted grandfather of: John S. Miele & his wife Stacia of Medford,  Rebecca M. Anoli & her husband Michael of Stoneham,  Lara N. Miele of Dorchester,  Danielle E. Osterweil of Saugus,  Alfred DelMuto, III & his wife Ana, Dimitri J. DelMuto,  Kristen E.  & Jacqueline M. DelMuto all of East Boston and Justin M. Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, August 16th, 2013 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Vertuccio and Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (route 107) Revere for Ida (Montagna) DeAngelico, who died following a lengthy illness at the Lighthouse Nursing Care Center of Revere on Monday, August 12th, at 82 years.  The Funeral Service will follow the visitation in the funeral home at 7:15 p.m.  Born & raised in Boston’s North End, she attended school there & lived there until moving to Revere 55 years ago.  For over 15 years, she worked as a clerk-typist for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the Department of Public Welfare.  Concurrently for over 25 years, she worked as a waitress for Salenora Caterers of Revere, where she met thousands of people during her career.  “Ida” was a strikingly attractive woman & had an instant recall memory for faces, which made her an often requested waitress at functions & receptions.  She leaves her  beloved husband of 55 years, Vincent P. “Da” DeAngelico.  She is the cherished mother of, Donna F. Gigliello & her husband James “Tony” of Revere, & Vincent P. Jr./”Sonny” DeAngelico & his wife Kim of Rowley, MA.  She is the devoted grandmother of, Anthony J. Gigliello & his wife Rebecca of Mendon, Michael J. Gigliello & his wife Theresa, Crystal D. Aguaouz & her husband Mustassa “Mossie,” & Jason J. Gigliello, all of Revere, Julie-Anne DeAngelico of Jacksonville, FL, Dena A. & Dylan T. DeAngelico both of Rowley.  She is also lovingly survived by her five Great-grandchildren: Justin, Adam, Michael, Toni, & Ryan.  She was the dear sister of the late John “Sonny” Montagna.  Interment is private.
