Paul F. D’Olimpio, Sr.
Family & friends are invited to attend a Memorial Visitation on Friday January 5th, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in the Vertuccio & Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) Revere for Paul F. D’Olimpio, Sr. who died on his 65th birthday, Wednesday December 27th at Massachusetts General Hospital, after a courageous yearlong battle from Paraneoplastic Syndrome. A very rare disease that affects 1 in every ten million. A Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 6th at 10:30 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, 14 Summer St., Saugus. All are invited to meet directly at church. Interment will be private.
Paul was born & raised in Revere. He attended Revere Public Schools & is an Alumnus of Revere High School, Class of 1971. During his time in School, Paul’s athleticism earned him varsity letters in both basketball & baseball. Upon graduation, Paul continued his education at Massachusetts Bay Community College, where he played Basketball there as well. While in still in high school, Paul became a Licensed Realtor. He was a very ambitious young man and was not afraid to work. He also worked for his uncle’s construction company. He learned all aspects of the construction business, even to designing homes and additions. Paul was one who would take on challenges and learn about things until he was proficient with that particular skill. For 40 years, he owned & operated his own Insurance Agency, D’Olimpio Insurance” located at 715 Broadway, Revere. Many people who knew Paul, especially his clientele, appreciated his charismatic personality. He was always ready to make people laugh. His love for people allowed his success in business. Paul was a past member of the Planning Board in Revere, and later on City Assessor. He was a past president of the Revere Rotary Club. He is a Late member of M.A.A.O. (Massachusetts Association of Assessing Officers). On Christmas Eve, 1970 at the midnight mass at St. Anthony’s, Paul took Mary E. Dent there on their first date. That was the beginning of a 47-year relationship. The couple was married on June 10, 1973. The newly married couple remained in Revere where they began their life together and raised their family. They lived in Revere for 30 years, before moving to Saugus for 14 years, then to Peabody in 2016. Paul’s life was filled by his passion for working but the love of his family. His family was paramount, and working hard for them, was who he was.
He is the beloved husband of Mary E. (Dent) D’Olimpio of Peabody, together they shared 44 1/2 years of marriage. Loving father of Paul F. “P.J.” D’Olimpio, Jr. & his wife Julia M. of Salem & Maria E. DiPanfilo & her husband Patrick J. of Lynn. Adored grandfather of Kayla M. Hall & Nico Benjamin. Dear brother of John R. D’Olimpio of Revere & James M. D’Olimpio & his wife Denise of Danvers. Cherished brother-in-law of Darlene L. Saunders & her husband James of Danvers. He is the devoted son of the late Rocco & Virginia (Herrick–Daeson) D’Olimpio and faithful son-in-law of the late Benjamin R. “Benny” & Phyllis (Ferragamo) Dent. He is also lovingly survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, colleagues & customers.

Maria was born & raised in Tiriolo, Catanzaro, Italy. In the early 1950s, she, her husband and their children came to live in South Boston, where they remained. Maria was a dedicated housewife and the epitome of a loving mother. Her passion was caring endlessly for her family and providing them with her legendary cooking. All of her meals that she prepared, was truly made with love. Her joy was to be with her family and share the joy of one another.
She is beloved wife of 63 years to the late Giuseppe “Joe” Puccio, who passed on November 4th, 2011. Devoted & loving mother of Vincent Puccio & his wife Linda, Anthony V. Puccio, all of South Boston & Marisa A. Puccio of Revere. Cherished grandmother of Vincent J. Puccio & his partner Stephanie, Joseph M. Puccio & Anthony M. Catherine M. “Cathie” (Vazza) Sanecchiaro
Funeral services were held privately for Catherine M. “Cathie” (Vazza) Sanecchiaro, who passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 19th at the Whidden Memorial Hospital, after she was stricken at her home, she was 74 years old.
Born in Salem, Cathie was raised and educated in Revere. She is an alumna of Revere High School, Class of 1961. When she was married, she remained in Revere, where she raised her children. She was a dedicated mother and raising her children was paramount to her. She took great pride in her family & her home. She later worked at Luberto’s Pastry Shop at the Revere street location and later the Broadway location. She began working the counter assisting customers and then later in the office as a bookkeeper. She spent approximately 20 years working there. Cathie loved being a mother first and later a grandmother. She loved to spend time with her family.
She is the devoted wife to Carmine J. Sanecchiaro of Revere, together sharing 54 years of marriage. Loving mother of Michelle D. Horner & husband Mark J. of North Attleboro & Laurie A. Buonopane & husband Michael J. of Billerica. Cherished grandmother of Nicole A. Mayone, Taylor A. Ferrante, Anthony C. Buonopane, Jake A. Buonopane & Jenna R. Buonopane. Vincent J. “Snooky” Corso
Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, December 28th beginning at 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St. Revere at 11:00 a.m. for Vincent J. “Snooky” Corso, who died on Tuesday, December 18th at the Kaplan Family Hospice in Danvers after a brief illness, he was 95 years old. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
Born, raised & educated in Revere, Snooky was an alumnus of Revere High School, Class of 1942. Shortly after graduation, like many of the brave men of his generation, he wanted to defend his country and enlisted in the U.S. Army, days before the invasion of Pearl Harbor. He received medals & accommodations such as the African Middle East Theatre Campaign Ribbon, Victory Medal, Purple Heart, Silver Star & an award from the Italian Ministry for his role of Liberating the Italian Citizens. He served his country with great pride and honor, and is in that elite group aptly named the “The greatest generation”. When he was discharged, he rose to the rank of Sargent. When he returned home he began to work at Fish Pier in Boston for the First National Stores. He held various positions while he was employed there. He later went onto become a court officer for the Boston Municipal Courts, where he would become in charge of handling the “Grand Jurys”. He worked for the B.M.C. for over 20 years. On November 12, 1950 he would marry Margaret Kapamagian, a marriage that would span 67 wonderful years together. The couple enjoyed traveling together and later wintering in Del Rey Beach, Florida. Snooky always stayed active, he was involved in many clubs and organizations. He was a late member of the Knights of Columbus Council 179, Revere Sons of Italy- Giuseppe Manzini Lodge & the I.T.A.M. Post in Revere. He had a great love and appreciation for baseball & loved the Boston Red Sox. Back in his earlier years, he held try outs for a minor league team. Although he didn’t make it, instead he leant his passion and knowledge for the game to help kids learn the game of baseball. For over 10 years, Snooky was committed to coaching little league, he would skipper the Orioles. There are many former kids that he coached and helped that would still remember how fun he made the game. In his golden years, to stay active, he would golf as often as he could.
He is the loving & devoted husband of Margaret H. (Kapamagian) Corso of Revere. The beloved brother of the late Augustus A. “Gus” Corso, Anna M. Aucella, Concetta O’Leary & Gerald & Joseph Corso. Dear brother in law of the late Mario Kapamagian, Alexander Kapamagian & Louise Barthelmess. He is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews.

Donna M. (O’Doherty) Kennedy

(O’Doherty) Kennedy, who died on Monday, December 18th at the Leonard Florence Center for the Living in Chelsea following a long illness, she was 74 years old. Donna was born & raised in Charlestown. She attended Boston Public Schools and was an alumna of Charlestown High, Class of 1961. She married and later moved to Dorchester where she raised her children. Donna was a homemaker until her children were grown, then, she worked as a Meter Maid for the City of Boston for over 20 years. Donna enjoyed being around her family, especially her grandchildren & great grandchildren. In 2003, she came to Revere to live with her daughter due to her declining health.
She is the devoted & loving mother of Kimberly A. Kennedy of Revere, Kellie Kennedy of South Attleboro & the late Kristin Kennedy. Cherished grandmother of Amanda L. Hickey, James Bowen, Andrew Bowen, Brian Bowen, Scott Castignetta, Michael Castignetta & the late Christopher J. Kennedy. She is the adored great grandmother of Miles & Valentina. The dear sister of Jane O’Doherty of Fall River and the late Christine & John O’Doherty. She is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews. Bob was born in Winthrop and he was raised and educated in Revere. He is an alumnus of Revere High School, Class of 1960. He furthered his education at Boston State College, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Education and later his Master’s Degree as well. Bob began a career with the Revere Public School System as a teacher at the Mary T. Ronan School, later becoming the guidance counselor at the Beachmont School and Garfield School. Bob loved what he did and his over 30 years as a teacher demonstrated his commitment to children and public service. He was a well-respected mentor to many students in the school system and his tireless dedication to help children of all backgrounds made an everlasting difference in countless lives. Bob enjoyed hearing from former students as they grew older and many of these students expressed sincere gratitude for the assistance and advice he provided to them. After retiring, he pursued another career, as a Customer Service Manager for Dollar Rent a Car where he formed many long-lasting bonds with colleagues who greatly enjoyed his humorous and good natured spirit. Bob’s greatest title that he held was “Dad”; he cherished his two children and his grandchildren even more so. He was extremely proud of their accomplishments and their paths chosen in life. Bob was a life- long resident of Revere.
He is the loving father of Atty. Robert A. Fisher & his wife Jaime E. Fisher of Newburyport, and Dr. Lauren D. Fisher & her wife Lourdes M. Fisher of Brooklyn, NY. He is the adored grandfather of Shelby, Rowan, Blake, Maddison & Madylan. He is the devoted brother of the late Gail M. Fisher, & the late Atty. Paul T. Fisher & his wife Carol E. Fisher of Saugus. He is the cherished uncle of Ryan P. Fisher & his wife Danielle E. Fisher, & their daughter Ella, all of Saugus. Also lovingly survived by his former wife Diane M. Mark E. “Markie” Felt
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Funeral Mass on Wednesday, January 3rd in the Immaculate Conception Church (Corner of Beach St. & Winthrop Ave.) at 11:00 a.m. for Mark E. Felt, who passed away at the Lighthouse Nursing Care Center on December 13th at the age of 61. Services will continue with Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
Markie was born, raised and educated in Revere and is an alumnus of Revere High School, Class of 1973. At 21 years old, he followed his two older brothers, John and Stephen, to Las Vegas, Nevada. For 15 years, he worked at various casinos as a craps dealer. Markie was known for his charismatic personality and was meticulous about his appearance, always appearing well groomed and dapper. He then returned home to Revere, where he was employed for the City of Revere as a custodian for the Revere School System. Due to his failing health, he was forced to retire. Markie was always full of life. He was often found with his best friends; Stevie, Ronny, Robert, Paul, Billy & the late Sabu. Markie & his cronies were often found at Cigar Master’s on Boylston St. in Boston. They would often go on vacation together, traveling to various destinations. The quartet of them were especially fond of a yearly trip to Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. Markie was an avid golfer and took the game very seriously, as he was a great competitor and loved to play as often as he could. Markie has helped and sponsored many troubled people struggling with addiction. He will be remembered and missed dearly but he will always be loved by many family & friends.
He was the son of the late Revere Patrolman John A. Felt and Eleanor R. Felt. Brother of John A. Felt, Jr. of Las Vegas, NV, Donna M. Roman and her husband, William of Revere, his twin Eleanor A. Garofalo and her husband, John of Revere and the late Stephen M. Felt. Cherished uncle of Jennifer A. Giordano and her husband, Gary of Saugus, Robert P. Born in Malden, he lived most of his life in Saugus and was a 1992 alumnus of Saugus High School. Most of his working career was spent in the construction field as a laborer.
He is the adored son to Laura M. Datserakis of Saugus & her husband, George, Kenneth R. Melanson Sr. & his wife, Shirley of Sandown, New Hampshire. He leaves his long-time companion, Melanie Hart of Saugus. He is the devoted father of Kayla, Ari, & Kenneth R. Melanson, III, all of Saugus. He is the grandson to George Manfra of Middleton & his late wife, Carmella (Oliva) Morani-Manfra. He is the beloved brother of Ryan M. Melanson & his companion Melanie & Karisa C. Melanson, all of Saugus, John Datserakis, Andy Datserakis, both of Lynn, Cheyenne Melanson of Sandown, N.H. & the late Craig P.Melanson. He is also the cherished nephew to Gregory Morani & his wife, Jacqueline of Middleton, George Morani of Newburyport, Melinda Morani of Methuen, & the late Linda Morani. Fernando Fernandez
A Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, December 14th in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, East Boston for Fernando Fernandez, who passed away in his Revere residence on Tuesday, December 12th, following a valiant battle with cancer. He was 59 years of age.
Born in Madrid, Spain, he was raised and educated there. Fernando spent most of his life as a missionary and immigrated to Boston 20 years ago with his wife and children. He was a member of the Neocatechumenal Way both here in the United States and also in Spain, having been sent as a missionary family. Fernando worked for many years with the Archdiocese of Boston as a programs director and was the Director of Religious Education at Our Lady of the Assumption in East Boston.
He is the beloved husband of Maria Rodriguez and the son of Maria Dolores Rodriguez and the late Fernando Fernandez. Devoted father of Juan Fernandez of Revere, Andres Fernandez and his wife Adrianna of Maynard, Javier Fernandez of Revere, Pablo Fernandez and his wife Maria of Everett, Manuel Fernandez of Revere & Raquel Fernandez of Revere. He is the cherished grandfather of Jimena Fernandez. He is the dear brother of Maria Dolores Rodriguez & her husband Giuseppe of Madrid, Spain and the late Javier & Maria Jose Fernandez.
Joseph P. Napolitano

Born in Everett he lived in Revere all of his life, before moving to Peabody, 15 years ago. He was an alumnus of Revere High School, Class of 1950. In April of 1954, during the Korean Conflict, 1 he joined the U.S. Army & served as a Specialist 3rd class, until January of 1956. He has a 42 year career as a meat-cutter & store manager. He traveled the vast network of stop-& Shop, serving throughout the North Shore Shore & Greater Boston . A man’s man, always a gentleman, for his family and all of his family & extended family. Never one to join fraternal organizations, he gave his entire being for his family.
He is the beloved husband of 63yrs. to Barbara L. (Kezar) Napolitano. He is the cherished father to Joseph P. Napolitano Jr.& his wife, Lisa of Tewksbury, Nicholas J. Napolitano & his wife, Michelle of Revere, Michael J. Napolitano & his wife, Barbara of Peabody, Gina B. Napolitano of Peabody & the late Lawrence J. Napolitano. He is the dear brother to Paul Napolitano Jr.& his wife, Josephine of Tewksbury. He is the adored Grandfather to Samantha Woolaver & her husband, Derek of Saugus, Joseph P. Napolitano, III & his fiancee, Mackenzie Holland of E. Boston, Alicia L. Napolitano of Tewksbury, Michael L. & Christopher P. Napolitano, both of Peabody & Nicholas J. Napolitano, Jr. & Kiana N. Napolitano both of Revere. In May of 2018, Joe’s first Great-Grandchild is to be born. And from where Joe will be (heaven) he will be the very first to know & observe the “blessed event”; a true paradox, indeed.
