Robert J. Howell

Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, May 3rd from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith HomeHowell, Robert J. for Funerals 773 Broadway (Route 107) Revere for Robert J. Howell, who passed away following a lengthy illness on Wednesday, April 29th at the Academy Manor Nursing Center of Andover. A funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Monday, May 4th at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 133 Beach St, Revere.

Mr. Howell was born in Chelsea, raised and educated in Revere, and lived in Revere until moving 13 years ago. He is an alumnus of the Class of 1951 – Revere High School. In January of 1952, he joined the US Navy, serving until January of 1956, during the Korean Conflict. His working career was as a draftsman for Raytheon Co. of Bedford and Lexington, eventually becoming the manager of the entire draftsman force at Raytheon, for almost 50 years. In 2002, he and his wife of 57 years, Marjorie G. (Ellsworth) built a home in Ogunquit, Maine, where they lived for about 4 years, until failing health brought them to Merrimac, MA, close to their daughter, Karol. During the 60s and 70s,

 

Robert was a most active member of the I.C. Revere Reveries and later with the 27th Lancers-Drum & Bugle Corps serving with the parents and other friends of the Corps.

 

Bob’s hobbies were many. He was an avid golf player for many years, and a skilled dancer. He particularly enjoyed ballroom dancing with his wife, in and around Revere Beach Boulevard. He was a voracious reader particularly in history and mystery novels. His long illness was especially sad in that it impeded his ability to enjoy his interests, including his reading.

He is the adored husband of 57 years to Marjorie G. (Ellsworth) Howell. Cherished father of Kerri M. Howell of Folsom, California, Katherine M. Howell-Gallant of Deerfield, New Hampshire and Karol M. Flannery and her husband Coburn of Merrimac. He is also the beloved grandfather of Deidre M. Gallant, Gunnar H. Gallant, Sean H. Flannery and Kyle H. Flannery. He is the dear brother of William Howell of Saugus and the late John “Chuck” Howell. Interment will be held at a latter time.

William J. “Willy” Gleeson, III

Born & raised in East Boston, he attended Boston Public Schools. He is a graduate of Madison Park Vocational & Technical High School, Class of 2009. Shortly after graduating, Willy began working as an auto mechanic mastering his trade. He was a mechanic for Phil Romano Trucking in East Boston.

He is the devoted father of Kourtney R. Gleeson and husband of Kristie A. (Sanseverino) Gleeson. Cherished son of William J. Gleeson, Jr. of East Boston and Lisa M. DiMauro of Farmington, NH. Beloved grandson of William J. Gleeson, Sr. and Josephine M. “Joanne” (Russo) Gleeson of East Boston and Sebastian and Rose M. DiMauro of Deltona, FL. Dear brother of Chenelle M. Gleeson and her fiancée Jeff Doucette of Everett, Alise M. Niolet and her husband Marcus of Concord, NH and Serina DiSciscio of Farmington, NH. Also lovingly survived by his niece, Luciana Niolet, his in-laws; Louis and Julie (Pari) Sanseverino of East Boston and he is the dear brother in law of Louis, Kayla and Brianna Sanseverino, all of East Boston and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Interment will be private.

Alice J. (Penney) O’Reilly

O’Reilly, who passed away on April 24th at the Rosewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Peabody at 90 years. A funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Wednesday, April 29th at 11:00 a.m.

Born in Chelsea, she lived her early years in Revere and was an alumna of Revere High School. Alice and her late husband, John C. O’Reilly, lived in Everett for over 38 years. In 1978, she returned to Revere. Mrs. O’Reilly retired from Stone and Webster of Boston, after 25 years of service in 1992, after her 68th birthday.

 

She is the devoted mother of of Kathleen A. Forrest and her husband Peter A. of Nashua, NH, John C. O’Reilly Jr. and his late wife Linda of Bullhead City, AZ and Mary Ellen Peters and her husband Joseph of West Peabody. She is the Cherished grandmother of Joseph Avola III and his wife Heidi of NH, Michelle McLaughlin and her husband Edward of Bullhead, AZ, Angela Donovan and her husband Dennis of Revere and John C. O’Reilly III and his wife Melanie of South Huntington, NY. Dear sister of the late John, Albert, William, Frank and Robert Penney, Lean M. Grasso and Dorothy Fraser. She is also lovingly survived be her 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.

Marijane V. Natoli

She passed away on April 22nd at 71 years of age. A highly respected teacher for fifty years in the U.S. and Germany. She taught Natoli, Marijanereading for many years at Pentucket Regional Middle School in West Newbury, MA and Sacramento, CA. She also taught English in York City, NH and Frankfort, Germany. She recently retired from Bunker Hill Community College’s ABE program at the Chelsea, MA campus. She was a literary being who had a passion for reading and letter correspondence. Because she was very politically conscious, she enjoyed her years working for the Revere Election Department.

Marijane passed away on April 22nd in her Revere residence following a lengthy illness.

Marijane was a competitive horseman and roller skater in her early years. Later, she became a professional skating instructor. Then her creative and curious personality led her to travel the world.

Her greatest passion, however, was for animals. She raised wired hair fox terriers and supported various animal foundations.
Marijane’s clever wit, perception, generosity and zest for life and fine dining endeared her to many.
She was a unique older sister who we all strive to emulate. She leaves her sisters; Susan Natoli Anderson of Somersworth, New Hampshire, Victoria A. Natoli of Revere and her brother Cliff Natoli of Foxboro, MA.
She leaves behind her two nieces; Sarah Anderson Stimpson of Washington State and Naomi Anderson of Dover, New Hampshire as well as many cherished family members and friends.

Robert C. D’Eramo

D’Eramo, who passed away unexpectedly on April 18th at the Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett. A funeral will be conducted in the funeral home following the visitation at 6:15 pm.

Born in Everett, he was raised and educated in Lynnfield and was a graduate of Stoneham High School, Class of 1986. He was also a 1990 alumnus of the University of Massachusetts- Lowell. Most of his working career was in customer service, serving as a customer service representative in several area department stores. Robert lived for several years in Stoneham and recently in South Boston.

He is the beloved son of William J. D’Eramo of Deerfield Beach, Florida and the late Carolyn M. (Landry). He is the devoted brother of Richard L. D’Eramo and Steven W. D’Eramo, both of Nashua, New Hampshire. He is also lovingly survived by his aunt, Janet Bozek of Danvers and his niece, Elizabeth Wilcox and her husband Jerremy of Connecticut. Many cousins survive him as well. Interment will be held privately.

Raul A. Andino

Born and raised in El Salvador, Mr. Andino worked as an accountant for Hydro-Electron- ICS of El Salvador for over 25 years. He and his late wife, Rosa de Andino, came to the USA in 1998, settling in Houston, Texas. After his wife’s death in 2006, he came to live in Revere with his daughter, Rosa in 2007. For over 7 years, Mr. Andino was an active member of the Rossetti Senior Center, forging many new and loving relationships and friendships among the staff and other seniors. His demeanor was always constant and welcoming.

 

He is the devoted husband of the late Rosa de Andino. Loving father of Rosa O. Andrade and her husband Guillermo of Revere and Carlos A. Andino and his wife Matilde of Houston, Texas. Cherished grandfather of Laura V. Sanchez of Revere, Tomas A. Sanchez and his wife Hong G. Lam – Sanchez of Houston, Texas, Hugo E. Sanchez of Revere and Veronica Andino of Houston, Texas. Adored great grandfather of Marcus R. Haywood and Thomas A. Sanchez. Also survived by many family members in El Salvador. Interment will be private.

Edward J. Gay

Born in Cambridge, he was raised in the Orient Heights section of East Boston, and was a 1968 alumnus of East Boston High School. Most of his working career he was in the air freight service industry. He worked for Signature Flight Report and Hudson Senerad, before beginning his own company, East Coast Air Services from 1998-2013. Eddie was a longtime member of the Winthrop Golf Club.

He is the loving father of Robin N. Gay of Revere and Ralph Sharp of East Boston. Beloved brother of Rick Gay and his wife Diane of Milton, Linda Banelis and her late husband Jack of Malden, James Mazzapica and his wife Mary of Tewksbury, Kathleen Thomann and her husband Daniel of Tewksbury, Mary McGowan of Malden and the late Francis “Franny” Gay and Carl Mazzapicca. Cherished grandfather of Kayla N. Gay Quesada of Revere and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He is also lovingly survived by his former wife Fiorella Mazzei. Mary Najjemba

Family & friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Saturday, April 18th at 10:00 a.m. in St. Pius V Church, 215 Maple St. Lynn for Mary Najjemba, who passed away following a long illness at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston on Saturday, April 11th.
Born in Uganda, she came to live in the U.S.A. over 20 years ago, settling in Revere. She worked at Boston Medical Center as a phlebotomist for 20 years. Due to a debilitating illness, she left her position in September of 2014. At the request of the family, visiting hours are respectfully omitted.

She is the loving mother of Juliah Polito and her husband Amato of Lynn, Moses Mouske and Abraham Mouske, both of Uganda and the cherished grandmother of Isabella Polito. Interment will be private.

Dorothy M. (Johnson) Murphy

Services and Interment at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, West Peabody, will be held privately for Dorothy M. (Johnson) Murphy, whoMurphy, Dorothy passed away on Wednesday, April 1st, at the Catholic Memorial Home of Fall River, following a long illness.

Mrs. Murphy was born in Winthrop and lived in Chelsea for almost all of her life, before moving to Catholic Memorial Home four years ago. For over twenty-six years, she worked for the former Sweetheart Paper Products in Chelsea as an assembler. She was a long-time former member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church of Chelsea and the Women’s Society of that church. Her husband, Harold L. Murphy, passed away on January 13, 1999.

 

She is the devoted mother of Grace M. Murphy and her companion Linda Silvia of Fall River and Ruth A. Johnson and her husband Earl of Derry, New Hampshire. She is also lovingly survived by 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Roland C. Johnson, Herbert A. Johnson and Anna Forgione.

Gertrude R. (Goudreau) Cahill

(Goudreau) Cahill, who passed away at the Lighthouse Nursing Care Center on March 31st. A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St, Revere at 11:00 a.m.
Born in Manchester, NH, she attended St. Edmond High School. She was well known for working at some of the most popular stores located on Elm St. in downtown Manchester such as Modern Bride, Pariseaus and Sydney’s. She had been in sales and also worked as a consultant and buyer and would frequently travel to and from New York. She moved to Revere in 1967 after she married her husband Charles, who was a successful owner of his own Insurance Agency in Revere. During those times, she would help out with assisting in the business. In 1998, she moved to Ogunquit, ME for retirement and returned to MA taking residence in Middleton, MA in 2004 to be closer to her family. In 2006, she returned to Revere.She is the daughter of the late Roland and Laurianna (Dumont) Goudreau of Manchester, NH. Devoted wife of the late Charles F. Cahill. Loving mother to Jennifer Cheever and her husband Paul (Revere Fire Department) and cherished grandmother of Trisha and Erika Cheever, all of Revere. Beloved sister of Raymond and his wife Nancy, Bernard and his wife Lorraine, Helen Coutu and her husband Norman, the late Gilbert and surviving wife Barbara, the late Claudette Houle and surviving husband William and the late Pauline Cote and surviving husband Larry, all of Manchester, NH. Also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews. Interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
