Francis M. “Frankie” Lespasio

Private funeral services & interment were held for Francis M. “Frankie” Lespasio, who died on Monday, October 7th, 2013 at Dana Farber Cancer Institute following a lengthy illness & struggle with Metastatic squamous cell cancer, at 39 years.  Born & raised in East Boston, he was a 1992 alumnus of East Boston High School.  For most of his working career, he worked within the construction industry as a laborer.  He is the beloved son of Francis M. Lespasio, Sr. & Maureen M. (Kovacev) Lespasio & the devoted brother of Holly Lespasio & the dear uncle to Damian & Jaylin Reid, all of East Boston.  He is also lovingly survived by several aunts, uncles, & cousins.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Division of Development & the Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place West, Floor 6, Brookline, MA 02445-9924.

(Dunbar) Francis, who died on Friday, October 4th at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, following a long illness, at 83 years.  A funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Thursday, October 10th at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Revere, at 10 a.m.  For over 20  years, she spent many years living in East Boston & Fort Myers, Florida.  Born & raised in Boston, she spent most of her life in East Boston before moving to Admiral’s Hill, Chelsea, about 2 years ago.  She is the widow of Ralph H. Francis, who died in December of 1997.  She is the mother of: Darlene R. Naso & her husband Salvatore L. Naso, Jr. of Revere, Mark S. Francis & his wife Lois of East Boston, Charlene Francis of South Boston & her late husband Robert Featherplace, & the late Ralph J. Francis & his late wife Julia R. Francis.  She is the dear sister of Edward J. Dunbar & wife Doris of Oklahoma, Pauline Sabella of Tewksbury, Gloria Santaniello & Patricia Viola, both of Fort Myers, FL, & the late: June Bartolo, Murlene Marchese, & Gladys Dunbar.  She is the cherished grandmother of: Keith S. Naso, Craig P. Naso, Melissa A. Francis, all of Revere, Mark Francis, Jr. & Melissa Vasczy, both of Lynn, Ralph M. Francis of Saugus, Jared Francis of South Boston, & the late Chanel Francis.  She is also lovingly survived by her devoted surrogate daughter, Linda C. Hildenbrand & her husband Gary of Fort Myers, FL, her 3 great-grandchildren, Eva Ravesi, Isabella Francis, & Damien Vasczy, & several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews.  Entombment will be at a later time at the Massachusetts National VA Cemetery of Bourne, MA.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, One Bulfinch Place, Boston, MA 02114-2031, or to the American Lung Association of Massachusetts, Inc., 460 Totten Pond Road, Waltham, MA 02451.

Grace Marotta (Raduazzo), who died on Thursday, October 3rd at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, following a brief illness, at 96 years.  Her funeral will be conducted in the funeral home following the visitation on Wednesday, October 9th at 11:30 a.m.  Born & raised in Revere, Mrs. Marotta was an alumna of Revere High School, Class of 1934.  She worked for General Electric of Lynn, in the Office Pool, as a senior clerk.  She married Anthony Marotta of Revere.  He died in March of 1999.  She is the beloved mother of Anthony J. Marotta of Revere.  She was the dear sister of the late: Rose Raduazzo, Frank, Julia, Julius, & Rosa Raduazzo.  Devoted aunt of Frank G. Raduazzo of Malden, Robert A. Raduazzo & wife Joan of Revere, & the late Lorraine Jacome.  She is also lovingly survived by many other nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews.  Entombment is in Holy Cross Community Mausoleum, Malden.

(Gargano) Olivero, who died on Wednesday, October 2nd at Bear Hill Nursing Center of Stoneham, unexpectedly following a brief illness, at 98 years.  Her funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Tuesday, October 8th at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in the Church of the Incarnation, Upham St., Melrose, at 10 a.m.  Mrs. Olivero was born, raised & educated in Chelsea & lived all of her life there.  Her unusual but wondrous strength allowed her to live a most alert & productive life until a fall, four weeks ago, brought her to the hospital & her final illness.  Her working career began when she was, but, a teenager in Chelsea, at Walton Shoe Co., the former WT Grant Dept. Store, Berman’s Apparel, the Chelsea Memorial Hospital, & finally at Massachusetts General Hospital, for 12 years, from whence she retired.  She was married to Vincent J. Olivero for over 70 years, until his death in January of 2008.  She is the adored mother of Vincent J. Olivero, Jr. & his wife Maureen of Melrose, Frederick J. Olivero & his wife Donna of Billerica, Robert Olivero & his wife Kathleen A. of Tewksbury, & Virginia Browne & her husband Leo of Saugus.  She is the dear sister to Clara Mongiello of Medford & John Gargano of Saugus.  She was the mother-in-law of the late Diane E. Olivero.  She is also lovingly survived by 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, many nieces & nephews, grand-nieces, & grand-nephews.  Interment is in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

(Siciliano) Tata, who died at her Revere residence following a lengthy illness on Wednesday, October 2nd, at 87 years.  Her funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Monday, October 7th at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St., Revere at 10 a.m.  Mrs. Tata was born & raised in Revere, attended Revere schools & was a 1944 alumna of Revere High School.  All of her life was spent here in Revere as an outstanding homemaker & care-giver to many members of her extended family.  Phyllis was most active in the Revere Public School PTA & the PTA at the Immaculate Conception School of Revere.  She is the beloved & faithful wife of 65 years to former Revere City Councillor & former retired Revere firefighter Pat W. Tata, Sr.  She is the adored mother to: John R. Tata of Chelsea, Debra J. Tata, Pat W. Tata, Jr., Mark A. Tata & his wife Kelley, Lisa M. Amato, Gina M. Viarella & her husband Christopher, Maria V. Stuart & her husband Michael, all of Revere, & the late Peter W. Tata.  She was the dear sister of Louis J. “Gino” Siciliano & Ella Marino.  She is the loving sister-in-law to: John Marino of Revere, Malvina Cafarelli, recently of Georgia & formerly of Revere, Josephine Nicholas of Texas, & the late Louise J. Siciliano.  Also lovingly survived by 17 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, & many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews.  Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.  Phyllis was a “woman of Confidence” in God’s will & trusted cheerfully & joyfully in the love of God.

Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, October 3rd, 2013 from 4 – 8 p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), Revere, for Richard A. “Rick” Evans, Sr., who died unexpectedly on Monday, September 30th at Whidden Memorial Hospital, Everett, after being stricken at his Revere home, at 60 years.  His funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Friday, October 4th at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Revere, at 10 a.m.  Born & raised in Boston’s Roslindale section, he lived most of his life in Roslindale & Hyde Park.  In 1998, he & his beloved wife of 35 years moved to Rowlett, Texas.  Two years ago, they returned to Massachusetts & settled in the Point of Pines section of Revere.  Most of his working career was spent as a real estate agent for Caldwell Banker & Re-Max.  In Texas, he worked as a sales associate at a local furniture store outlet.  Along with his dear wife, Felicitas A. “Fely” (Ananuevo) Evans, he is the devoted father to: Michelle A. Brown & her husband Tyler of Medford, & Richard A. “JR” Evans, Jr. & his wife Rachael A. of Point of Pines, Revere.  He is the cherished grandfather of Sofia M. & Maison V. Brown, both of Medford.  He is the dear son of Dorothy J. (Kraft) Evans of Roslindale.  He is the loving brother of: Stephan Evans of Florida, Kenneth Evans, Robert Evans & his wife Patricia, Gary Evans & his wife Amy, all of Roslindale, Joyce Evans of San Antonio, TX, John Evans & his wife Carol of Canton, Mark Evans of Walpole, & William Evans of Los Angeles, California.  He is also lovingly survived by several nieces & nephews, aunts, uncles, & cousins.  Interment will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA, following the funeral mass.  Rick served for 5 years in the United States Navy during the Viet-Nam Era.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the New England Shelter for Homeless Veterans, 17 Court St., Boston, MA 02108.

John F. Stack

Stack, who died on Tuesday, September 24th at Beth-Israel Deaconess Medical Center of Boston, following a long illness, at 71 years.  Born & raised in Boston’s Mission Hill section, he lived for a time in Jamaica Plain before coming to Revere over 41 years ago.  For all of his working career, he was a cook for the New England Baptist Hospital of Boston, retiring after 40 years of service in 2004.  He was the husband of the late, Theresa Lou (Skelton) Stack, who died in August of 2012.  He is the beloved father of: Bryan E. Stack of Birmingham, Alabama, & Kimberly Beaupre & her husband Bryan of Derry, New Hampshire.  He is the cherished grandfather of: Sarah E. & Victoria G. Stack both of Birmingham, AL, Brennah, Kyle & Brayden Beaupre all of Derry, NH.  He is also the dear brother to: Catherine Tobin of Arlington, Gerald Stack & his wife Roseanne of Orlando, Florida, Margaret Stack of Tacoma, Washington, & the late Joseph Stack, Jr.  He is lovingly survived by several nieces & nephews.  John was also the son of the late Joseph & Marie (Sullivan) Stack of Boston.  Entombment will follow the services at Holy Cross Community Mausoleum, Malden.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to your favorite charity.
