Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, April 15th, 2013 from 4 – 8 p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), Revere, for Rosemarie (Fittante) Goins, who died unexpectedly on Tuesday evening, April 9th at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, at 72 years.  Her funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Tuesday, April 16th at 11 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in the Immaculate Conception Church (corner of Beach St. & Winthrop Ave.), Revere at 12 Noon.  Born in Boston, she was raised & educated in Revere, & was a 1958 alumna of Revere High School & an alumna of Bay State Community College.  She worked for over 12 years within the Revere Municipal Government, in the Treasurer’s Office & the Board of Health, leaving Revere in 1983.  She moved to Newington, NH, where she lived until moving back to Revere last Fall.  She is the beloved Mother of Kenneth C. Foster &  his wife Anne M. of Peabody.  She is the cherished grandmother of: Allison N. & Michael R. Foster both of Peabody, Adam & Jillian Matthews both of Danvers.  She is the dear Sister of Arthur R. Fittante & his wife Joan of NYC, & the late Alfred R. Fittante & his late wife, Mary Ann “Marion” Fittante.  She is the Dear Aunt of: Steven R. Fittante & his wife Sally, & David P. Fittante all of New Jersey, Dana R. Fittante & her husband Shawn Stockman of Maine, Philip Fittante & his wife Jane of North Carolina, Karin Fittante & her husband Kyle Jackson of California, & Glenn Fittante & his wife Jackie of New York.  She is also lovingly survived by her faithful surrogate sister, Betty Carmichael of Winthrop, James Rodgers & his late wife, Rita Rodgers of Saugus.  She is also survived by her former husband, Wilbur L. Goins of Newington, NH & his daughter, Christine Matthews & her husband Wayne of Danvers.  Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute – Division of Development & The Jimmy Fund, P.O. Conrad, who died on Sunday, April 7th at the Atlantic Care Hospital in Pomona, New Jersey, following a long illness, at 81 years.  His funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home at 10 a.m., followed by interment at Lakeside Cemetery of Wakefield, MA.  Mr. Conrad was born in Chicago, Illinois, & his family moved to Dorchester, MA when he was a young boy.  He lived in the Dorchester-Boston area for most of his life before moving to Ventnor, NJ over 40 years ago.  He spent over 25 years with the Atlantic City Convention Center, as their Vice-President.  He retired in 1996.  He served in the Korean Conflict from April of 1951 – March of 1953 with the United States Air Force, as a Staff Sergeant.  He is the beloved husband of 42 years to Roberta T. (Forman) Conrad of Ventnor City, NJ.  He is the devoted father of Alan B. Segal & his wife, Shirley, of Revere.  He is the Beloved brother of: Elaine Bushey & her husband Larry of Buzzard’s Bay, Paul Conrad & his wife Linda of Hanover, George Conrad & his wife Patricia of Braintree, Gerrye Sampson & her husband James of Braintree.  He is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to your favorite charity.

Orlandino of East Boston, & Jaye Tremonte & her husband Stephen D. of Revere.  She is the Cherished Grandmother of: Arthur Orlandino of Revere, Stephanie Beneski & her husband, Dr. John Beneski of Revere, & Stacie Allen & her husband David of Wellesley.  She is the dear sister of Victoria Spinelli of Methuen, Mary Alessi & Gloria Capone  both of Winthrop, Guy Frizzi of Revere, & the late: Frank Antonucci, Sarno Antonucci & Mildred Antonucci.  She is also lovingly survived by her nine Great-Grandchildren: Jessica, Devin, Jacqueline, Kyle, Brendan, Owen, Kallie, Aiden, & Jordan, & many nieces & nephews.  Interment will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Cemetery, West Peabody.

Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, April 7th, 2013 from 4 – 8 p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), Revere, for Domenic A. “John” Migliero, Jr., who died following a long illness at the Lighthouse Nursing Center of Revere on Wednesday, April 3rd, at 89 years.  His funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Monday, April 8th at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Revere at 10 a.m.  Born in Boston’s North End, he came to live in Revere with his family in 1933, where he remained until his death.  He served with the United States Navy from May of 1943 – February of 1946, as a Seaman 2nd Class.  He is a World War II Navy Veteran.  He was the recipient of the World War II Victory Medal, American Area Medal, Asiatic Pacific Medal with 6 stars, & the Philippine Liberation Medal with 2 stars.  Most of his working career was spent as a finish carpenter for the International Union of Carpenters & also for Spinelli Construction Company.  He retired in 1985.  He was a 1941 alumnus of Revere High School.  He was a member of the American Legion Post #61 of Revere, the Revere ITAMs, & the Carpenters’ Union – Local #33.  “John,” as he was known, especially enjoyed working in his home garden.  His garden was mammoth, especially the amount, variety, & quality of tomatoes he planted.  One of his greatest joys was sharing the “fruits” of his labor with his large extended family, neighbors, & friends.  He leaves his beloved wife of 37 years, Mildred J. (DuBois) Migliero.  He is the dear Brother of Angelo “Fred” Migliero & his wife, Jennie of Revere, & the late: Anthony J. Migliero & Nicoletta St. George.  He is the cherished uncle of many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews.  Entombment of his cremains will be held at a later time in the Columbarium at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to: The Restoration Fund at St. Anthony of Padua Parish, 250 Revere St., Revere, MA 02151.

Diego Rodriguez

Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, April 5th, 2013 for Diego Rodriguez in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), Revere, from 4 – 8 p.m.  Mr. Rodriguez died on Easter Sunday, March 31st at Massachusetts General Hospital, after being stricken at his Revere Beach home, at 94 years.  His funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Saturday, April 6th at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St., Revere, at 10 a.m.  Born & raised in Havana, Cuba, he came to the USA & settled in Boston in 1956.  Immediately, he began working within the garment industry in Boston’s Garment District.  While working in the industry, he met his faithful & devoted wife of 51 years, Mildred E. “Millie” (Carrozza) of East Boston.  He worked for several of the leading mens’ & womens’ Garment factories as a master cutter for almost 35 years, before retiring.  He lived for over 47 years in East Boston before moving to Revere in 2003, to the St. George Condominiums at Revere Beach.  Always a strikingly handsome gentleman, he had a personality to match.  A gentlemen’s gentleman, he became the unofficial “Mayor of the St. George,” greeting & chatting with people in the Lobby.  His absence will leave a void among many of the staff & residents at the St. George.  He was a long-time member of the International Ladies’ Garment Workers’ Union, Local #24 (ILGWU).  Beside his wife “Millie,” he leaves his Brother, Sergio Rodriguez of Cuba.  He is also lovingly survived by his sister & brother-in-law, Frances DiPlacido & her husband John of Royal Palms, Florida, his sister-in-law, Rose Carrozza of Wilmington & many, many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews.  Diego enjoyed a unique relationship with his nephews & nieces, regarding him as a “most loving, unjudgemental Uncle.”  He also leaves several nieces & nephews in Cuba.  Entombment is in the Sheffield Building at Woodlawn Community Mausoleum, Everett.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the: American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701-4688.

(Losco) O’Donnell, who died on Easter Sunday, March 31st, following a long illness at the Oosterman’s Rest Home of Wakefield, at 93 years.  Her funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Friday, April 5th at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Revere at 10 a.m.  Born & raised in Revere, she attended Revere schools & was a life-long resident of Revere until moving to Melrose for about 15 years.  She had a 27-year career in sales at Filene’s in Boston, from where she retired.  She was a member of the Filene’s Quarter Century Club, the St. Anthony’s Ladies’ Sodality, the Revere Smart Set, & the Revere Patriot Club.  She was the wife of the late, Paul T. O’Donnell, who died in July of 1970.  She is the Cherished mother of Kathleen A. Milligan & husband, Dr. Richard J. Milligan, DDM of Revere, & Attorney Paul R. O’Donnell & his wife, Ann B. of Reading.  She is the devoted Grandmother of: Karen M. Milligan-Frost & her husband Matthew Frost of Arlington, Paul W. O’Donnell of Reading, Erin A. O’Donnell & her fiancee, Ben Gibson of Andover, & Kimberly A. Family & friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, April 4th, 2013 beginning at 9 a.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), Revere, for Mildred (Bentley) Bencale, who died on Good Friday, March 29th at the Bear Hill Nursing Center of Wakefield, following a long confinement, at 85 years.  A funeral will be conducted from the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass on Thursday in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Revere, at 11 a.m.  Born & raised in Palmetto, Georgia, she came to live in Revere over 60 years ago.  Before retiring in 1989, she worked within the Chelsea School System as a cafeteria worker for over 10 years.  In 1990, she moved briefly to Florida & then return to Massachusetts & made her home with her Daughter, Mildred J. Pontremoli & her husband, Edward J. in Rowley, MA.  In 2004, she became a resident of Bear Hill Nursing Center, when her health began to decline.  She was the wife of the late John Bencale, who died in June of 1980.  She is the Devoted Mother of, John Bencale & his wife Barbara of Fountain Hills, Arizona, Robert A. Bencale & his wife Maureen of Stoneham, & Mildred J. Pontremoli & her husband Edward J. of Newburyport.  She is the Cherished Grandmother of Angela Macero & her husband Joseph of Wakefield, Danielle Pontremoli of Newburyport, Jay Bencale & his wife Tiffany of Nunan, GA, Nicole Cover & her husband Craig Cover of Kentucky, Michael & Christopher Bencale both of Swampscott, Robert Bencale of California, & Jake Bencale of Stoneham.  She is also lovingly survived by two great-grandchildren, Brandon & Gracie, a sister-in-law, Linda Bentley of Florida, & many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, & grand-nephews.  “Millie” was the last of her siblings.  She was the Sister of the late, John R., Fred, Charles, James, & Joseph Bentley, & the late, Dolly Smith, Mabel & Thelma Bentley.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the MSPCA-Angell, 350 S. Salvatore J. D’Addario

Family & friends are invited to visiting hours on Wednesday, April 3rd, 2013 from 9 – 11:45 a.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), Revere for Salvatore J. “Skippy” D’Addario, who died on Wednesday, March 27th at the Exeter Hospital, Exeter, NH, unexpectedly, at 61 years.  He had been in declining health for over a year, following a course of kidney dialysis.  The Funeral Service will follow the visitation in the funeral home at 12 Noon.  Born & raised in East Boston, he attended East Boston schools until the family moved to Revere in 1963.  He was an alumnus of Revere High School, Class of 1969.  He lived in the Chelsea-Revere area until moving to Newmarket, NH 23 years ago.  He was the founder & owner of “ABBA Medical Supply Co. Inc.” of Exeter, NH, before selling the business in July of 2009 due to his long-standing health related issues.  “Skippy” was a long-time former member of the Exeter Chamber of Commerce.  He was also most active as a member of the “Well of Living Water Church” of Northampton, NH.  He leaves his treasured wife of 23 years, Patricia A. O’Hara-D’Addario of Newmarket, NH.  He is the devoted Brother of Gregory J. “Butchie” D’Addario & his spouse, Randal J. “Randy” Cefalu, & Judy C. D’Addario all of Revere.  He is the cherished Godfather & uncle to: Tavian V. D’Addario of Revere, & several other nieces & nephews.  He is also lovingly survived by his wife’s family, the O’Haras of East Boston & the North Shore.  “Skippy” enjoyed a unique relationship with his extended family of in-laws, especially his nieces & nephews.  Interment is private.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to: “Covenant House” – 460 West 41st St., New York, NY, 10036.

Dinan, Sr., who died on Thursday, March 21st at his Saugus residence, following a long illness, at 75 years.  The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Tuesday, March 26th at 10 a.m., followed by the Funeral Service in the funeral home at 11 a.m.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.  Born & raised in Boston’s Dorchester section, he attended local schools & was a 1955 alumnus of Cathedral High School of Boston.  Always a sports buff, he opened a shop for buying & trading baseball cards & other sports memorabilia. The shop was known as “Dinan Sporting Goods” & later as “The Locker Room.”  He owned & operated the shop for over 40 years in Quincy.  He was a coach for the Southeast Babe Ruth League for many years, & in 2009, he was inducted into the Quincy Baseball Hall of Fame.  He was also a member of the Quincy Council-Knights of Columbus.  For many years, as a resident of Saugus, he was a “popular” crossing guard, retiring in 2010.  He is the beloved husband of 39 years to Carol A. (Howell).  He is the devoted father of: Robert P. Dinan, Jr. of Marston Mills, MA, John F. Dinan of Sandwich, MA, Joanne Bryant of Charleston, SC, Kevin J. Dinan & his companion, Jen Foesig of Trinidad, CA, & Kerri A. We would like to announce that after 37 years of caring for thousands of families at our 773 Broadway location, on January 31st, 2023 we will be officially RELOCATING, to our new location at 262 Beach St., Revere.
On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.

To all our families, friends, and residents of Revere, East Boston, and surrounding communities of the North Shore,

We would like to announce that after 37 years of caring for thousands of families at our 773 Broadway location, on January 31st, 2023 we will be officially RELOCATING, to our new location at 262 Beach St., Revere.

On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.

Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.

Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
