Eleanor L. (Cowhig) Fielding

7th, following a brief illness. Her funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Wednesday, October 12th at 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral mass, in the Immaculate Conception Church, (Corner of Beach st.& Winthrop Ave.), Revere at 11:00 a.m.
Eleanor was a member of the one of the oldest settling families in Revere, who migrated from Ireland in the late 1880s & settled in the Proctor Ave. district of the city. Mrs. Fielding is one of the last survivors of that generation to be still living in the City. Born & raised in Revere, she was an alumna of Revere High School, Class of 1938. She began working for New England Tel & Tel and remained with them until retiring in Oct. of 1982. She worked with the system as a lead telephone operator in Revere and Malden. Mrs. Fielding was a devotee of the Immaculate Conception Parish serving as a member of the Immaculata Guild & the Maria Assunta Guild. She & her late husband, Revere Fire Lt. Roger N. Fielding, who passed in January of 1999, were a popular couple in Revere’s social calendar.
She is the Cherished mother of Ellen Jane Stratton & her husband “Sandy” of Plymouth, Marion L. Farnham & husband Edward J. of Lynn & Dr. Roger A. Fielding, Ph. D & his wife Susan M. Blanchard of Pt. of Pines, Revere. She is the devoted grandmother of Michael N. Stratton & wife Stephanie of Hingham, Lupe E. Stratton of Plymouth, Ivonne E. Shea & husband John of Reading, Paige B. & Grace B. Fielding both of Pt. of Pines, Revere. Also lovingly survived by her 2 great-grandsons Michael N. & Matthew Stratton, both of Hingham, & many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews. Dear sister of the late Revere Police Cpt. James R. Cowhig, Dennis P. & John P. Cowhig, Anna J. Russo, Marjorie E. McPike & Dorothy K. Spinazzola. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Born in Chelsea, Dr. Kelley, came to live in Revere as a young boy, attending St. Rose Grammar School of Chelsea & then onto Immaculate Conception High School, Revere, graduating in 1944. He served with the U.S. Navy, from June of 1944 thru June of 1946, as 1st Class Fireman. He returned home, and attended The Beacon Institute of Podiatry in Boston. He gained his degree in Podiatric Medicine, at Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. He opened offices in Revere and Malden, for almost 40 years, retiring in 1998. Before that, he served internships at N.E. Foot Clinic & Long Island Foot Clinic of Boston. He was a former instructor in both Review Anatomy & Practice of Podiatry at Beacon Institute of Podiatry, Boston. Dr. Kelley had a long association with both McFadden Manor Nursing Home & Davenport Memorial Home both of Malden, as their Chief of Podiatry. Here in Revere, Dr. Kelley was Chairman of the Revere Board of Health for 15 years and a member of the Board for over 35 years. Dr. Kelley was also a life-member & former officer with the Revere Council, Knights of Columbus #179. After his formal retirement from the Podiatry Profession and the death of his beloved wife, Dorothy P. (O’Brien) Kelley in Feb. of 1998, he relocated to the grounds of the Tewksbury Country Club. There, he entered the workforce again, as Manager of the Pro-Shop at the Tewksbury Golf Club for 13yrs. Dr. Kelley was a longstanding member of the American Podiatric Medical Assoc., the Mass Podiatric Medical Assoc. (Ethic and Education Committees).
He is the cherished father of Paul G. Kelley & his wife, Patricia A. of West Peabody, Linda J. Gregory & her husband, John T. of Tewksbury, Maureen N. DeMers & her husband, Steven T. of Revere and Patricia A. DelMastro & her husband, Richard of Tewksbury. He is the devoted Grandfather of Paul B. Kelley & his wife, Jaclyn of Merrimac, Ma., Lauren M. Kelley of West Peabody & Liann Gregory of Tewksbury. A set of two year old twin girls, his great-granddaughters, Alana & Madelyn Kelley also survive him. He is the dear brother of Paul F. Kelly of Everett & his wife, Doreen & the late M.D.C. Patrolman Robert P. Kelly. He is also lovingly survived by his sister-in-law, Susan
H. (Segal) Kelly of Pt. of Pines, Revere. He was the brother-in-law of the late Regina A. Kelly. Many nephews, nieces, grand-nieces & grand-nephews also survive him. Interment will follow at Puritan Lawn Memorial Cemetery, West Peabody.

Dorothy L. (Sharpe) Malcolm
A graveside service was held privately for Dorothy L. (Sharpe) Malcolm, who died on her 79th birthday, September 28th, at the North Shore Medical Center in Salem, following a long illness.
Dorothy was born in Chelsea, raised & educated in Revere. She remained in Revere after she was married & raised her daughter. In later years Dorothy worked at “Donut Maker” in Everett, where she worked for several years. She loved her family and especially loved her great grandchildren.
She was the beloved wife of the late Robert K. Malcolm. Loving mother of Judith R. Millerick of Peabody & her former husband Martin J. Millerick of Winthrop. Cherished grandmother of Robert K. Millerick & Ryan C. Millerick, both of Peabody, Nicole D. Doyle & her husband Patrick, and Jennifer L. Millerick, all of Danvers. Adored great grandmother of Lexi N. Millerick & Griffin Doyle. Dear sister of June Sheldon of Lynnfield and the late Clifford Sharpe, Evelyn Gillespie, Barbara Pineau, Marilyn Sheldon, John Sharpe, James Sharpe & Elena Stone. Also lovingly survived my many nieces & nephews, grandnieces & grand nephews. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Born in Yago, Pennsylvania, the family came to live in Boston’s North End when Jennie was a little girl. The family remained there until coming to East Boston for about fifteen years & then moving to Revere for about 50 years. Jennie remained in Revere until moving to Northbridge, where she had been under the attentive care of her grand daughter, Carol for the past 13 years. A totally devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother & aunt. She loved her family & their presence with her constantly.
She is the cherished mother of Antonette T. Siciliano of Northbridge, Elizabeth R. Headley & her husband James of Arizona. She is also lovingly survived by four 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren & many nieces & nephews.

Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Rte. 107) REVERE, for RICHARD F. MURPHY, who passed following a long illness on Sunday, September 18th at the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home. His funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Saturday, September 24th at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in Our Lady of Grace, 59 Nichols St., Chelsea (on the Chelsea-Everett Line) at 10:30 a.m.
Born in Portland, Maine, he came to live in Saugus as a young boy, remaining in Saugus until 1973 when he married M. Noreen (Cafano), a Revere girl and East Boston native. They lived in Revere for over 30 years, before moving to Chelsea’s Admiral’s Hill, ten years ago. He attended Saugus Schools & was a 1961 alumnus of Saugus High School. On New Year’s Eve of 1961, he entered the Marine Corps during the Viet-Nam War & served until April of 1966. Early in his youth, Dick became a Big Brother for Mass. Big Brothers & served that organization tremendously. He would often reminisce, regarding the joy that he received from his long association with the organization. Most of his working career was in the airline profession, as a flight inspector, & a private & commercial Pilot. He had ten years in the employ of American Airlines & thusly returned to the Daniel Webster College at Hanscom Airforce Base & secured his “Commercial Pilot’s” license. Dick had a brilliant career with Hanscom for several years, and having retired from there, because of failing health, went onto part time work as a driving instructor Pleasant Auto School of Revere. A victim agent Orange, he was subjected to an early retirement with the Pleasant Auto School. He was a long-time member of the Saugus American Legion Post #0210 & the Saugus Chapter of the DAV #115.
He is the most beloved husband of 43 years to M. Noreen (Cafano ), the devoted son of Winnifred E. (Monahan) Murphy of Saugus & the late Bernard D. Murphy. He is the dear brother to Bernard D. “Donnie” Murphy & his wife, Joanne of Saddlebrook, Arizona & Patricia A. Maestranzi & her husband, Joseph of Peabody. He is the cherished uncle of Michael R. Murphy & his wife Jennifer of Arizona, Brendan J. Murphy & Sauda of Georgia & Matthew M. Maestranzi of W. Peabody. He is also lovingly survived by many cousins throughout the North Shore Area. Noreen, Dick’s dedicated & faithful wife and the entire Murphy family extend and pray for an abundance of blessings to be bestowed upon the Entire Staff at the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home Facility in Chelsea, in small recompense for the extraordinary care and attention rendered Dick and his entire family .. God bless and God love, each and every one of you. Interment will be at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.

Born, raised & educated in Ft. Worth, TX. In 1958, she married Alessandro L. “Alex” Gaeta. She and her husband moved to East Boston, to begin their life together and raise their family. Sally’s working career was eclectic, due to her many talents. She worked in Sales for many years at various companies, as well as a photographer. She was passionate about her photography and loved how she was able to capture moments of beauty. She was also a Translator for the East Boston Neighborhood Health Center. Sally worked up to her recent hospitalization. She was a sales clerk at the Logan Airport Hilton Hotel’s Gift Shop. Sally loved people and through her work, it allowed her to meet and connect with people. Sally was a former East Boston Brownie & Girl Scout leader for several years.
She is the devoted wife of the late Alessandro L. “Alex” Gaeta. Loving mother of Nanina C. Gaeta – Coletta & husband Edmund J., Jr. of East Boston, Rosemary F. Robert A. “Bobby” Incerto

Heart, 45 Brooks St., East Boston, followed by interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Bobby, as he was affectionately known, died on Tuesday, September 13th at Boston’s Mass General Hospital, following being stricken at his East Boston home.
Born in Boston, Bobby lived in East Boston all his life. He attended Sacred Heart Grammar School in East Boston and was a 1961 alumnus of Domenic Savio High School, East Boston. He joined the Coast Guard in October of 1965 & served until October of 1969. For over 39 years, Bobby worked for Suffolk Downs as an Admissions Manager. In 2008, after suffering a major Cerebral Vascular Accident (Stroke), he was forced into retirement. His passion for life & activity continued until the day God called him home. From the time of elementary school, continuing onto his senior years, Bobby held a unique passion for trains, and American History. At his Prescott Street residence, in the basement, Bobby created vignettes, relating to specific battle sites of the Civil War. His genuine mastery & brilliance in building, actual set-up design etc. was superb. His display became legendary & soon Bobby was a member of many & all Train Clubs, throughout the country. Over the years, Bobby became an often photo’d news item in the Boston Globe & the Boston Herald. The Harvard Train Club of Cambridge was also a long-time interest of Bobby’s work and hobby. After his subsequent stroke, he was unable to maintain his interest and the vignettes were dismantled.
He was the beloved son of the late Virgilio & Adeline “Lena” (Carrozza) Incerto. Many dear cousins also survive Bobby. He was the cherished nephew to Frances D. DiPlacidio & her husband John of West Palm Beach, Fl., Rose Carozza of Wilmington & the late Mildred E. Rodriguez, Lesandrina “Sandra” Russo, & Bridget Pisano & the late Domistchiles “Mico”, John “Panco”, Enrico “Eastago”, Elio “Leo”, Nicholas J., Ralph, & David Carrozza. Also lovingly survived by his devoted & faithful life-partner & care-giver, David F. St. Laurent of East Boston, with whom “Bobby” made his home. David’s Mom, Corinne (Erickson) St. Laurent of East Boston also survives him.

Albano C. “Barno” Tassinari

Center in Chelsea on Monday, September 5th following a brief illness. He was in his 98th year.
Born & raised in East Boston, he attended Boston Public Schools. Barno enlisted in the U.S. Army in January of 1941 to bravely & proudly serve his country during WWII. He served in his outfit as part of the 82nd Airborne Paratroopers. He was discharged in August of 1945 after his valiant service and was honorably discharged. Barno was a man who could fix anything, but specialized in Television Repair. He became known to many people in East Boston and surrounding areas as “Barno’s T.V”. He was a proud father, loving grandfather & dedicated brother. His grandchildren were something he treasured greatly. He always had a great disposition and wonderful sense of humor and he loved to make people laugh.
He is the loving father of John Tassinari, James J. Tassinari & his wife Linda, all of Peabody and the late Sharon Tirrell. Cherished grandfather of Nikki L. Veytsman & her husband Alex of CA, Michael J. Tassinari & his wife Maggie and James A. Tassinari, all of Peabody. Former husband of the late Mary (Christoforo) Tassinari & the late Dorothy (Mahoney) Tassinari. Beloved brother of Antenorie Tassinari of Melrose, Giaconda Smart of Arlington, Gloria Overton, Tosca Tassinari, both of East Boston & the late Massimilliano “Max” Tassinari. Born & raised in Revere, John attended Immaculate Conception School & graduated in 1944. After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy & proudly served his country. John was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1946, as a Pharmacist’s Mate. John attended Wentworth Institute of Technology earning an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering in 1949. He went on to further his education by earning a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Tufts University in 1954. On July 11, 1953, John married the love of his life, Eleanor Hickey. The couple settled in Revere and began to raise their family, until John received a position as an electrical engineer from Curtis Wright Co., where he worked for 9 years. He advanced his career by securing a position with Picatinny Arsenal in Dover, New Jersey. John had a very fulfilling career that spanned over 25 years. John had many interest & passion’s, one was his love for playing the Violin. He played other instruments as well, but the violin was his absolute favorite he and continued to take lessons.. After retiring, both he and his wife returned to John’s childhood home in Revere on Trevalley Rd. John’s favorite past time was his love & devotion for his wife & family.
He is the beloved Husband of 63 years to Eleanor M. (Hickey) his best friend. Devoted father of Maryellen Lobb & her husband John of Denville, NJ., Nancy L. DeCindio & her husband Daniel of West Patterson, NJ., John J. Stack III & his wife Lynda of West Milford, NJ and Kevin M. Stack of Revere & Sweetwater, TN. Brother of the late Sr. John Marie Stack, O.S.F. Lovingly survived by 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren & 2 great-great grandchildren. Dear brother-in-law of Patricia L. Teixeira & her husband William A. of Revere & the late George Hickey and Dorothy Collins. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. He was a late member of the Picatinny Rod & Gun Club, NJ. . Joseph S. Vozzella

He was 77 years old. A funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Thursday, September 8th at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m., in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St. Revere.
Born & raised in Boston’s North End, Joe was educated at St. Anthony’s School & Christopher Columbus School, both in the North End. He graduated from Charlestown High School in 1956. After graduation, Joe joined the Iron Workers Union Local #7, he became an “Apprentice” and later on became a “Journeyman”. Joe later owned & operated his own business “Superior Steel”, and was a sub-contractor for the Local 7. In 1956, Joe married Roberta Penta, the couple remained in the North End, before they settled in Revere, where they raised their children. In 1998, Joe and his wife moved to Saugus and shortly after, Joe retired from his business, passing it on to his son’s to continue. Joe was known as a loving husband, father & grandfather. He loved to be around his family and loved to socialize with people.
He is the devoted husband of 60 years to Roberta F. (Penta) of Saugus. Beloved son of the late Domenic and Josephine (Galeno) Vozzella. The loving father of Joseph S. Vozzella, Jr & his wife Cheryl of Barnstable, Maria J. Ferro of N. Andover & her late husband Michael, Christine A. Cavagnaro & her husband Louis III, Robert Vozzella of Revere & Anthony J. Vozzella & his wife Astrid Prackatzsch of San Francisco, CA. The cherished grandfather of Domenic DeAngelis of N. Andover, Louis Cavagnaro, IV of Revere, Christine Cavagnaro of Revere, Nicholas Vozzella of South Boston, Michael Jones of Rhode Island, Alexander Vozzella of Brookline, Michael Ferro of N. He is the dear brother of Marie Russo & her husband Manny of Lynnfield & the late Annette Gaglione and her surviving husband Ronnie Gaglione. He is the beloved brother in law of Christine Penta of Boston, Maryanne Penta Of San Francisco, CA & the late Paula DiMarino. He is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Late Member of International Association of Iron Workers Local 7.
