Stacy L. Walsh
Services were held privately at the family’s request, on Tuesday, January 21st, 2014 in the Vertuccio and Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) in Revere, for Stacy L.Walsh, who died in a tragic automobile accident on Saturday, January 18th in Seabrook, NH at 22 years. Stacy was born & raised in West Newbury. She was educated in the West Newbury School system. She attended the Pentucket Region High School. While growing up, Stacy had many interests and was active in many extracurricular activities and sports. She enjoyed playing soccer, gymnastics, horseback riding and cheerleading. Her passions did not stop with organized sports; she also loved photography, country music, and would frequently enjoy “Line Dancing.” She was also a well known “Boston Bruins” Fan. Stacy was a former employee at The Atria Assisted Living Complex in Newburyport, where she worked in the kitchen and as a server. She made many of the residents smile with her warm face and beautiful smile. While she was working, she was also studying to complete her Certification to become an EMT. She is the most beloved daughter of Richard M. Walsh & Lorna M (D’Apolito) of West Newbury. She is the cherished sister to Matthew R. Walsh of West Newbury. The loving granddaughter to Phyllis M. Walsh of Revere & the late Laurence E. Walsh and the late Raymond & Lorraine R. (Babine) D’Apolito. She is also lovingly survived by many aunts, uncles & cousins. She was also the adored friend to many.

Patricia J. “Pat” (Reardon) Nazzaro

A funeral mass will follow in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Revere, at 11 a.m. Pat was born and raised in Portland, Maine. She attended schools in the Portland area. Pat furthered her education by attending Business School and Secretarial School. In 1955, Pat and her husband, Michael Nazzaro, were married and settled in Revere, where she remained. In 1972 she had lost her husband and had her young family to raise alone. The dedicated mother she was, she went to work full time at Stone & Webster Engineering Corp. as a secretary. Later in life, Pat donated her time and talents of knitting and crocheting “Prayer Blankets” for Massachusetts General Hospital and Boston’s Children’s Hospital. She is the wife of the late Michael Nazzaro, the loving mother of Debra A. D’Ambrosio & her husband Lorenzo of East Boston and Cynthia J. Nazzaro of Winthrop. She is the cherished grandmother of Paul L. D’Ambrosio & his wife Alexandra P. of East Boston and Lauren A. D’Ambrosio of East Boston & Baltimore, MD. She is the dear sister of Donald Reardon & his wife Gail of Yarmouth, ME. Also lovingly survived by several nieces and nephews. Interment will be private. Paul G. Reppucci

The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Friday, January 17th at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church (Corner of Beach St. & Winthrop Ave.), Revere. Mr. Reppucci has battled Diabetes for most of his life, with his loving family by his side. Paul was born and raised in the Beachmont section of Revere. He attended Revere Schools and shortly after graduation, he joined the United States Navy during the Viet Nam War. He served his country proudly from 1968 – 1974. After leaving the Navy, Paul went to work for the M.B.T.A., as a bus driver for over 20 years before retiring due to health related issues. Paul was one of a select few to be chosen to drive a bus for the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah. Paul was known as a fun loving man, but above all, he is best known as hard working and dedicated to his family. Paul lived in Revere all of his life before moving to Maine in 2007. He leaves his devoted wife, Linda M. Stasio-Reppucci of Naples, ME, whom he shared 43 years of marriage. He is the cherished father of: Tammy L. Marra & her husband James J. of Hampstead, NH, Paul G. Repucci, II & his wife Jacqueline A. of Stratham, NH, and Matthew J. Repucci of Hampstead, NH. He is the dear brother of Grace Reppucci of Sturbridge and the late Thomas A. Reppucci. He is the adored grandfather of: Crystal Costello, Gennaro Marra, Joseph Marra, Melayna Marra, Matteo Marra and Samantha Reppucci. Loving son in-law of John M. William F. “Billy” McCarthy
William F. “Billy” McCarthy died most unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 7th, 2014 after being stricken at work, in the kitchen at New Bridge Cafe, Chelsea, at 53 years. He was pronounced dead at the Whidden Memorial Hospital, Everett, where he had been rushed. Born in Revere, he was raised & educated in Everett, & was a 1978 alumnus of Everett High School. ”Billy” spent most of his life in the Chelsea-Everett area. He was a member of the 5-2 Club of Chelsea. Never having married, he had a particular devotion to his parents, brothers, sister, their spouses, & their children. His loss will be intensely served, not only with his cherished family, but with the many, many friends & colleagues he has enjoyed over the years.Beloved son of the late Francis J. McCarthy and Dorothy A. (Sabbagh) McCarthy-DeLuca and the late Steven P. DeLuca. Devoted brother of Francis J. McCarthy, Jr. and his wife Joanne of Everett, Patricia A. Gary M. Cioffi, Sr.

Cioffi, Sr., who died following a long & arduous battle with melanoma at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, on Monday, January 6th, at 51 years. His funeral will be held from the funeral home on Friday, January 10th at 11 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Revere, at 12 Noon. Gary was a lifelong Revere resident, & an alumnus of Revere High School, Class of 1980. He attended the Contemporary School of Music of Boston, & began playing drums at a very early age. Although most of his working career was with Revere’s Department of Public Works at the schools & at City Hall, he thought of himself first & foremost as a musician & drummer. His music career was mostly self-taught & inspired. However, his father’s family were long-time musicians, both locally & in Florida. Gary’s group was known as “That’s That,” who played often for the Beach Scene & along Revere Beach Boulevard, & also at Hampton Beach, New Hampshire. He is the beloved husband of some 34 years to Peggy (Mackin) Cioffi. He is the devoted father of: Gary W. Cioffi, Jr. & his wife Jennifer, Michael J. Cioffi, Derek J. Cioffi & his wife Alexandra “Ali,” & Torre J. Cioffi & his companion Emily Tremonte, all of Revere. He is the adored “Papa G” to Addison Rose & Noah Ross Cioffi. He is the cherished brother of Carol Hamilton of Watertown & the late Fred Cioffi. Born & raised in the Point of Pines section of Revere, she lived in Winthrop for several years before moving to Malden five years ago. Maureen retired in 2003 after 40 years of service within the Revere School System, principally as an elementary school teacher & particularly at the Whelan School. A member of the Chelsea-Revere Generations Program, she is also a member of the retired Revere Teachers’ Association. She was the beloved daughter of the late, John E. & Virginia A. (Frost) Mahoney. She is the cherished sister of: Joanne Fusco & her husband John of Burlington, John E. Mahoney, Jr. of Hingham, & Denise J. Mahoney of Winthrop. Mildred A. (Garmalinsky) Berry

(Garmalinsky) Berry, who died on Sunday, December 22nd at her Everett residence under the loving care of her family following a prolonged illness. Her funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Saturday, December 28th at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in Our Lady of Grace Church, 194 Nichols St. on the Chelsea-Everett line at 10:30 a.m. Born & raised in Willimantic, Connecticut, the family moved to Chelsea before moving to Everett 37 years ago. “Millie” was an alumna of both the Chelsea Soldiers’ Home, School of Nursing & the Massachusetts Bay College of Nursing. For over 32 years, she nursed at the Chelsea Soldiers’ Home where she earned an outstanding reputation as a most caring & devoted nurse not only to her patients but to their families as well. Often families would request that she be assigned to their loved one’s care. She is the devoted mother to Millie Berry, RN & George R. Berry, Jr. both of Everett, William L. Berry & his late wife Maryalice of Uxbridge, & the late Stephen J. Berry, who died in June of 1974. She also leaves her dear twin sister, Lee Woodworth, of Willimantic, CT. She is also lovingly survived by her grandson, Andrew Forget of Uxbridge, & her faithful friends, Nancy Hocter of Middleton, Lucy Hunter, & Nino Nittolo both of Revere, & many nieces & nephews. Millie enjoyed the role of “mentor” to many nursing students, often resulting in continued life-long relationships. She was also the wife of the late George R. Berry, Sr., who died in December of 2003. Interment will be in the family lot at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Anthony C. DiGiovanni

DiGiovanni, who died following a brief illness on Friday, December 20th at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Medford, at 95 years. His funeral will be conducted on Monday, December 23rd from the funeral home at 11 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in the Immaculate Conception Church (corner of Beach St. & Winthrop Ave.), Revere, at 12 Noon. Born & raised in Revere, he attended Revere schools until the premature death of his young father, Carmine A. DiGiovanni, which demanded he leave school & help his mother to support his four siblings. “Tony” cared for his dear mother Maria A. (Capone) until her death at 97 years. All of his life, he was hardworking & aggressive, entering the United States Army in May of 1939, & serving until July 1, 1945. He is a veteran of World War II. He worked in the early years at the Charlestown Naval Shipyard & later would become a security guard at the former Watertown Arsenal, from where he retired. He was a member of Revere ITAMS. “Uncle Tony” always maintained an affable personality, quick to laugh & eager to be of help to anyone & everyone, especially his family. His photos attest to his gentleness & joviality. His beloved wife, Eleanor I. (Bernardi), died in November of 1988. He is the cherished father of: Anthony DiGiovanni & his wife Donna M. of Peabody, Joseph F. DiGiovanni of Dedham, & Irene M. DiGiovanni-Vardaro & her husband Pat A. of Wilmington. He is the devoted grandfather of: Danielle J. Kempe & her husband David of Quincy, & David A. DiGiovanni of Lowell. He is also lovingly survived by his 5 nieces: Joanne Nardone & Marie Chadwick both of Revere, Marie Atchlas of Billerica, Joan Steeves of Newburyport, & Theresa MacDonald of Lowell. His nieces regarded their “Uncle Tony” as a surrogate father. He was also the dear brother of the late: James & Leo DiGiovanni, Louise DiGiovanni, & Mary Nardone.
