Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday (only) December 18th, from 9 to 11 a.m., in the Vertuccio &Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) Revere, for Retired Revere Firefighter Pasquale A. “Pat” Cerrone, who was stricken at his Revere residence on Saturday, December 13th. A funeral service will follow the visitation in the Funeral Home at 11:15 a.m.. Born & raised in Revere, he attended Revere Schools. Pat is an alumnus of Revere High School Class of 1945. After graduation, Pat was inducted in the United States Army. He proudly served his country during World War II. In 1952 he married Ruth S. (Morin), the couple settled in Revere and began their family. He joined the Revere Fire Department and was a Firefighter, providing 31 years of service. Pat was a known as hardworking & a dedicated family man, a true example of “The Greatest Generation”. He was also known as being a tremendous athlete & softball player. He is the devoted husband of 47 years to the late: Ruth S. (Morin) Cerrone , loving father of Ruth Ellen McKinnon of Revere & Paul A. Cerrone & his wife Tracey of Lynn. The cherished grandfather of J. Devon McKinnon & his wife Danielle of Everett, Marisa M. McKinnon & her fiancé Anthony Papandrea of Revere & Bradford P. Cerrone of Lynn. He is the adored great grandfather of Carmen A. McKinnon. He is the devoted brother of Rocco J.”Dunna” Cerrone & his wife Millicent C. “Tinty” Cerrone of VA & the late Dorothy Argenzio. Also lovingly survived by John P. McKinnon of Peabody and several nieces & nephews. Late WWII Army Veteran & Member of the Soccorso Club in Revere. Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, December 16th from 5 to 8 p.m., in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) Revere, For Edward F. “Buddy” Griffin, who died on Dec. 12th after a long illness at the Lynn Union Hospital, Lynn. A funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Wed. Dec.17th, followed by a funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church, 8 Common St. Lynn. Followed by Interment in Mt. Benedict Cemetery Born & raised in Boston, the family later settled in Revere, where Buddy lived for over 50 years. He later moved to Lynn with his brother John C. “Jack” Griffin, for over 20 years, who was not just his brother but his advocate, caregiver & protector. Buddy became a resident at the Life Care Center of the North Shore for the past several years. Buddy was born “Special” and looked forward to the simple things in life, such as listening to music, enjoying many varieties of flowers and above all attending mass. It is well known that Buddy was Fr. Rossi’s Altar Boy who celebrated mass at Life Care Center. He is the cherished son of the late John C. Griffin & Sara “Sadie” (Horner) Griffin, loving brother of John C. “Jack” Griffin of Lynn. The beloved cousin of Joanne Chisholm & her husband James, Denise & Connor Antony, Charlene Palecki & James Chisholm all of Salem and the late Isabelle J. Geyson. . The family would like to acknowledge the tremendous care & love displayed while Buddy was a resident at Life Care Center of the North Shore. A special acknowledgement to Joanne & her daughter Jessica who were so helpful & loving in Buddy’s care. Also a heartfelt thank you the Nursing Staff, especially Catherine & Martin.

(Seronick) Orlandino, who died following a lengthy battle with LUPUS disease on Wednesday, November 26th at Tufts Medical Center of Boston.  Her funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Wednesday, December 3rd at 11 a.m., followed by interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.  Born in Boston’s Dorchester Section, she attended the Jerimiah A. Burke School & High School, graduating in 1964.  All of her working career , was spent in fashion design, particularly with Gayle Markus Designs of New York, creating leather accessories, i.e., pocket-books, purses ladies & mens’ accessories of clothing.  She loved her work & regaled in her creations. She is the adored & beloved wife of 47 years, to Luis J. Orlandino.She enjoyed traveling extensively with her husband to places around the world.  She is the devoted mother of Randy L. Orlandino & his wife Isabel of Medford.  She is the dear sister of Eileen Seronick of San Jose, CA & the daughter of the late Bernard & Ann (Itzicovitz) Seronick.

Vacca, who died unexpectedly on Sunday, November 23rd at the Whidden Memorial Hospital, Everett.  The funeral service will follow the visitation in the funeral home at 11 a.m., followed by interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.  Born in Boston, he came to live in Revere at 2 years old, he attended Revere Schools and graduated from Revere High School, Class of 1979.  He continued his education at Salem State University & receiving a Bachelors Degree in 1985.  At the time of his death, he was working as an assistant Librarian for Widener Library at Harvard University, a post he held for over 30 years. He is the beloved & devoted son of Gloria M. (Repetto) Vacca & the late Pasquale A.”Pat” Vacca.  He is the dear brother of Susan M. Vacca & her husband Harry G. Orcutt of Greenwood, ME.  He is also lovingly survived by his aunt & Godmother, Rose Vacca of Hyde Park & several other aunts, uncles & cousins.

Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, November 24th, from 4 to 8 p.m., in the Vertuccio and Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) Revere, for Barbara A. (Kennedy) Haggerty, who passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 20th at Boston Medical Center. Her funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Tuesday, November 25th at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in the Immaculate Conception Church ( corner of Beach St. & Winthrop Ave.) Revere at 10:30 a.m..  Barbara was born & raised in Lynn, & came to Revere in the 1950’s & lived in Revere for over 50 years.  She had a brief working career as a bookkeeper, as she became the devoted mother of six children.  Mrs. Haggerty was an active member of the Immaculate Conception Community, being an active member of the Immaculata Guild & the Maria Assunta Guild of the Parish as well as the Mother’s Club & Bowling League.  She enjoyed her summer residence in Raymond, Maine, immensely, always hosting a full house.  As her senior years approached, she held close to her heat “Saturdays” with her daughters, when they would treat her to a luncheon & shopping.  Her beloved husband, Edwin G. Haggerty passed in August of 1992.  She is the devoted mother of: Mary Ellen Kippenberger & her husband, Retired Revere Fire Lieutenant Michael T. Kippenberger of Topsfield, Thomas E. Haggerty & his wife Lyn of Hamburg, NY, Barbara A. D’Eramo & her husband James R. & Michael E. & James L. Haggerty & Margaret A. “Peggy” Haggerty all of Revere. She is the adored grandmother of: Michael T. Kippenberger, Jr. & his wife Lauren of Tewksbury,  Katelyn M. Campbell & her husband Christopher of Burlington, Christopher J. D’Eramo, John J. D’Eramo, Stacey Squillacioti, Shannon, Jamie & Jessica Haggerty all of Revere, Ryan Haggerty & his wife Lisa of Chicago, IL., Kara Haggerty of Valejo, CA Ellen & Lee Haggerty both of Hamburg, NY.  She is also lovingly survived by her great grandson Michael Patrick Kippenberger.  She was the dear sister of the late Rev. Franklin S. Osgood, Sr.

Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, October 23rd, 2014 in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), Revere, beginning at 9 a.m. for Franklin S. Osgood, Sr., who died unexpectedly at his Marshfield residence on Saturday, October 18th at 72 years.  His funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home following the visiting hours, at 11:30 a.m., followed by interment in the Massachusetts National Cemetery (VA) in Bourne, MA.  Born & raised in Revere, he is a 1959 alumnus of Revere High School.  He entered the U.S. Marine Corps in January of 1963 & served as a corporal (E-4), & was honorably discharged on February 9, 1965.  Mr. Osgood began working for White Fuel of Chelsea, in 1965 & spent almost 40 years with the firm as a senior Oil Burner Technician.  He is a Teamster & a member of Local #25.  He was also a longtime member of the Broadsound Tuna Club of Revere.  He left Revere in 1994 & moved to Marshfield.  He is the beloved father of: Christine Osgood-Yanelli of Middleton, Franklin S. Osgood, Jr. & his wife Tracey of Peabody, Brian Osgood & his wife Charlotte of Revere, & Derek Osgood & his wife Tara of Salem.  He is the dear brother of Muriel “Mickey” Rosen & her husband Newell of Lake Worth, Florida, Jerry Osgood of Chelsea & the late: Gilbert & Theresa Osgood.  He is also lovingly survived by his former companion, Judy Johnson, her children Victoria & Bert Johnson, all of Marshfield, & his 10 devoted grandchildren & many nieces & nephews.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 60 Walnut St., Wellesley, MA 02481.

Woodland, who died on Sunday, October 12th at Marlborough Hospital, Marlborough, after being unexpectedly stricken at his Southborough home early Sunday morning, at 62 years.  All are respectfully invited to attend his Funeral Service on Thursday, October 16th at 11 a.m. in the Woodlawn Cemetery Chapel, 302 Elm St., Everett.  Private interment will be held in the Family Estates at Woodlawn Cemetery.  Born & raised in Chelsea, he attended St. Rose Grammar School & St. Rose High School & in 1970, graduated from Chelsea High School. He continued his education at Suffolk University & became an alumnus of North Shore Community College in 1975.  He went to work for T.J. Max International & became an Assistant Vice President of Loss & Prevention, a position he held for the past 32 years.  Stephen was an energetic personality, who brought both professionalism & joy to the work place.  He excelled in the execution of his position & shone among the greats, for his extraordinary personality, with his colleagues.  He would want to be remembered as a long-time member of the “Altar-Servers” Guild of St. Rose Parish, & as a member in good standing to the Chelsea Knights of Columbus.  He loved animals & was an avid supporter for the care of abandoned animals.  Stephen is the beloved husband of 24 years to: Jo-Ann (Savignano), & the cherished father of Olivia J. Woodland of Southborough, MA.  He is the dear brother to Chelsea Police Lieutenant Nancy E. Haumann & her husband, Retired Chelsea Police Sergent Joseph J. Haumann, of Saugus.  Cherished son-in-law of Joan H. (Arnold) Savignano of Revere & the late Fred D. Savignano.  He is also lovingly survived by his faithful sisters & brothers-in-law: June M. Bowman & her late husband Dr. James F. Bowman, PhD., of Newton, Mary Ellen Wilson & her late husband Robert J. of Revere, & Paul S. Savignano & his wife Joan M. Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, October 6th from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) Revere for John F. LoVerme, Jr.  who passed on Friday, October 3rd at Massachusetts General Hospital, after a lengthy three year battle with Pancreatic Cancer.  His funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Tuesday, October 7th at 9 a.m.. followed by a funeral mass in Holy Rosary Church, 1015 Shirley Street Winthrop at 10 a.m., followed by interment in Puritan Lawn Memorial Cemetery, West Peabody.  A native East Boston, he attended Boston schools & was a graduate of East Boston High School, Class of 1970.  He was also an alumnus of the prestigious Wentworth Institute, Class of 1974.  John worked within the network of various engineering corporations & lastly at Samtan Engineering Corp.  He was there for over ten years, until his debilitating illness forced him to remain home, a year ago.  Medically, John became a veritable miracle, not only surviving but thriving for almost a year during his three year diagnosis.  The entire cancer team at MGH & the extraordinary tenacity of his wife and daughters are to be praised for John’s courage to pursue any & all forms od traditional & naturalistic protocols.  John’s talents went far beyond his professional engineering accomplishments.  For over 35 years, his avocation in life, was as a fine furniture designer & contractor.  Although, he credited his late father in law, Louis J. Carco, as his mentor, John certainly had an intrinsic talent for working with wood.  For years, he was responsible for many original designs of furniture creations that he gave as gifts.  His artistic style was distinct & authentic.   He is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Pauline L. (Carco).  He is the cherished father to: Jessica D, LoVerme of Revere & Jenna D. LoVerme of Saugus. He is the dear brother of Lucille LoVerme of East Boston & his twin brother Charles LoVerme & his wife Stella of Medford.  He is also lovingly survived by his wife’s family, The Carco Family of Malden, Saugus, West Peabody & Cape Cod and many nieces & nephews.  He is the son of the late John F. LoVerme, Sr. & Edith (Luiso) LoVerme.

Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday, August 30th beginning at 9a.m., in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (route 107), Revere for Silvano Pacchielat, who died following a lengthy illness at the Whidden Memorial Hospital, Everett on Wednesday, August 27th.  Following the visitation, a funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.mn, in the Immaculate Conception Church (corner of Beach St, & Winthrop Ave.) Revere., followed by entombment in the Woodlawn Community Mausoleum (Sheffield Building), Everett.  Born & raised in Italy, he came to this country in 1956, settling in the Orient Heights section of East Boston.  In 1960, he married & moved to Revere.  Both Silvano & his wife Melania  were long-time members of the Choir at the Chapel of St. Pius X at Don Orione Nursing home in East Boston.  The couiple were also active members of the Rossetti Senior Center of Revere.  Mr. Pacchielat was a mechanic for the former Lisbon Motors of Allston, for over 27 years before retiring. He leaves his beloved wife of 54 years, Melania (Depicolzuane) and is the devoted father of: Stefano J. Pacchielat of Lynn,  Antonio Pacchielat & his wife Claire of Easton, MA & Daniel J. Pacchielat of Revere.  He is the dear brother of Gina Skulic of Croatia & the late Rev. Giacchino Pacchielat, F.D.P., Vittorio & Carlo Pacchielat, Maria & Ornella Pacchielat,  He is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces & grand nephews, in the USA, Italy & Croatia.  Silvano’s life was centered on the love for his Catholic Faith& the care for his devoted family.  He worked honestly & energetically, not only as a mechanic but at his home, tending to his garden, making homemade wine & entertaining. (Iovanna) Cannarozzo, who died on Sunday, August 17th, 2014 following a lengthy illness at Eastpointe Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of Chelsea.  Born & raised in Revere, She was educated in the Revere Schools & was a 1943 alumna of Revere High School.  Mrs. Cannarozzo was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt & friend.  She sustained a long-standing illness with severe rheumatoid arthritis & osteoporosis, which restricted her mobility.  She leaves her husband of 64 years, Vincenzo J. Cannarozzo, her two devoted daughters, Maryann Cifuni & her husband Gennaro Cifuni, (a Revere High School Teacher) & her daughter Linda J. Monaco all of Revere.  She is the cherished grandmother of 7 (seven) grandsons, Atty. Christopher M. Cifuni of Salem, Justin M. Cifuni, DDS of Revere, James A. Monaco & his wife Jennifer of California, ANthony J. Monaco of Rhode Island, Joseph R. Monaco & Matthew M. Monaco both of Revere and Michael M. Monaco of New Hampshire.  She was the daughter of the late A. Ralph Iovanna & Maria G. (Carbone) Iovanna.  She wasthe sister of the late, Armando, Ralph & Arthur Iovanna, Helen Pontremoli & Florence McGonagle.  She is also lovingly survived by her most faithful Parakeet “Mickey” many nieces & nephews.  Remembrances may be made to Chrohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America, 280 Hillside Ave., Needahm, MA 02194.
