A native of Revere, he lived here all his life & was a 1972 alumnus of Revere High School. He continued his education to earn himself an electrician’s license. He worked for over 18 years with Helco Electric Company of Peabody. He is the beloved husband of 39 years to June M. (Salie) Wareham. He is the devoted father of: Kelly L. Wareham & her companion Thomas D’Avella of Florida, & the late Chris M. Wareham & the late Tiffany P. Wareham. He is the cherished Grandfather of Monica, Mikey, Derek, & Nicholas. He is also lovingly survived by his Parents, Wilson R. & Dorothy T. (Bell) Wareham of Ft. Suzy, FL, & his sister Patricia Stowell & her husband William of Revere. He was the brother of the late, Lori J. Palladino. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews. Interment will be held privately. William Vincent “Vin” Monagle, Sr.
Family & friends are invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday, March 22nd from 3 to 7 p.m., in the Vertuccio and Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) Revere for William Vincent “Vin” Monagle, who died Tuesday evening, March 19th at his Revere Home, surrounded by the peace, joy & love of his family, following a long illness. His funeral will be conducted from the Funeral Home on Saturday, March 23rd at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in the Immaculate Conception Church ( corner of Beach ST. & Winthrop Ave.) Revere at 10:30 a.m.. Born in Medford, he attended St. Clement’s School & High School and was a 1944 alumnus of St. Clement’s High School. In November of 1944, he joined the United States Navy and served until July of 1946 and discharged as a Seaman 1st Class. He began his career with the Revere Fire Department in 1955 and served the City of Revere for over 35 years, retiring in 1990. Like so many of his fellow colleagues, “Vin” represented a quickly vanishing generation of Men, who dedicated their lives to their God, their family and to their chosen vocation in life. It is a well known and respected fact , that the Revere Fire Department displayed at all times, a unique bondness and quiet dignity about the execution of their duties, especially in times of crisis. “Vin” was all about, quiet dignity and self-less energy in his chosen field. On many occasions, within the City of Revere, he along with his colleagues, were present to quell the tragedy of fire. Most often, when firefighters leave their homes, they have no idea as too when or if they will return! Knowing this is true testimony of the character and integrity of the individual, at hand. After retirement from the Fire Department, “Vin” worked for the well respected and loved Giannino Family, working their greenhouses and as a delivery person. His superb knowledge of geography of the City of Revere made him an invaluable asset to the Giannino Family and their greenhouses. He leaves his beloved & faithful wife of 62 years, Mary Theresa “Tess” (Cunningham) Monagle. He is the devoted father of, William V. Monagle, Jr. & his wife Marji of Lynnfield, Neal P. Monagle of Medford, Gavin P. Monagle & his wife, Janet of Middleton and Amy T. Monagle of Revere. He is the cherished grandfather of, Patrick W. Monagle & his wife Marissa of Reading, Bridget A. Monagle of Lynnfield, Gavin F., Daniel F., & Kaleigh F. Monagle all of Middleton. He is the dear brother of Ana McGonagle of Roslindale, Mary Barry of West Somerville & the late John, Infant Mary, Catherine MacDonald, Charles, James, Patrick Monagle and Maguerite Rowe. He is also lovingly survived by his great grand daughter, Grace E. Monagle of Reading, his cousin , Charles McLaughlin & his wife, Mary of Milton and 54 treasured nieces and nephews. Internment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. “Vin” lived almost 60 years here in Revere. He was a longtime member of the Revere Council Knights of Columbus #179 and the Revere Fire Department’s many & varied charitable endeavors. Thomas P. Caporale

Caporale who died on Thursday, March 14th at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers, following a long illness, at 80 years. He joined the Marine Corps in February of 1952 & served until January of 1955, during the Korean Conflict. In 1961, he moved to Revere & remained there until moving to Ipswich seven years ago. For over 40 years, he was the proprietor & operator of “Andrea’s Hair Salon” on Broadway, Revere, & was a popular personality throughout the community. From 1990 – 2005, he served the City of Revere on the School Committee, a vocation that really complimented his outgoing personality. He leaves his beloved wife of 49 years, Maryanne (Chiota) Caporale. He is the devoted father of Monica J. Caporale & her fiancee, Mark Maregni of Ipswich. He is the dear brother of Dr. Ernest Caporale & his wife Mary of Boston. He is also lovingly survived by his niece, Attorney Tracy Tavilla of Boston, & several other nieces & nephews. He retired in 1990 after 30 years of service with the Department. He leaves his beloved wife of 5o years, Margaret M. “Peggy” (White) Cafarelli. Toomey, a Salem Podiatrist, in 1949. The couple then moved to Salem MA. Mrs. Toomey was a 1936 alumna of Immaculate Conception Church, High School. At that time, Suburban Gas Co. was seeking young ladies to train in their “clerical department,” & with a high school diploma. She began working with the Gas Co. immediately following graduation & left in 1949, when she married. She was an avid golfer & fan of bowling. She was a long-time member of the Wenhan Country Club & continued to golf until her late eighties. Dr. John J. Toomey died in March of 1990. She is the devoted Mother of, Patrice K. Toomey of Salem, & the late Elaine M. Krueger. She is the Cherished Grandmother of: Katherine I. Krueger & her husband, Matthew Witting of Alexandria, VA, Dr. Alison E. A funeral service was held on Monday, March 4th, 2013 for Lorraine B. (LeMay) Barresi, who died on Thursday, February 28th at her Revere home, following a long illness, at 89 years. The service was held at graveside at Riverview Cemetery, Groveland, MA. Lorraine B. (LeMay) Barresi was born in Chelsea, MA on October 4th, 1923 & lived there until moving to Revere in 1957. For over 30 years, she was a Chef within the Revere School System, most particularly at the Paul Revere School. She was the widow of Salvatore Baressi, who died in 1986. Carmen A. Stanchi
Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday, March 2nd, 2013 beginning at 9 a.m. in the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Route 62), Wilmington, for Carmen A. Stanchi, who died on Wednesday, February 27th at Lahey Medical Center, at 70 years, following a 35-year struggle resulting from a tragic industrial accident. Visitation will be followed by a funeral mass in St. Dorothy’s Church, Main St., Wilmington at 12 Noon. Interment will be private. Born in Boston’s North End, the family moved to Revere in 1955. Carmen was a 1960 alumnus of Revere High School. At the time of his tragic accident, he was warehouse manager for Brockway-Smith Inc. of Charlestown, where he had worked for 14 years. From that fateful day of October 28th, 1977, that accident rendered him a paralysis victim, confined to a wheelchair. Although physically impaired from that time, his spirit & intent for recovery was legendary. Carmen was an inspiration to so many, many people. Often unaware, his actions & the fashion in which he determinedly accepted the fate God had bestowed upon him, inspired others to cope & live through their own physical, mental or emotional handicap. He will be long-remembered & honored as “our family Hero.” In 1976, Carmen & his beloved wife of 46 years, Rachel E. (Carrozza) Stanchi, moved to Wilmington. He is the cherished father of, Michelle M. Stanchi of Wilmington, & Michael R. Stanchi & his wife, Kathryn “Kate” of Winthrop. He is the Dear brother of, Robert R. Stanchi, Jr. of Chelsea & the late Richard R. Stanchi & his late wife, Erna. He is also lovingly survived by his nieces, Susan M. Carrozza of Malden & Christine A. Born & raised in Chelsea, he attended school there & then moved with his family to East Boston. He remained in East Boston until 1964, when he & his family moved to Revere. For most of his working career, he was a finish carpenter for the Carpenter’s Union Local #218. He was a long-time member of the 5-2 Club of Chelsea, where he was also a Past President. “Archie” spent much of his retirement hours at the 5-2 Club, socializing & reminiscing. He is the husband of Gloria (Sciarappa) Orcione of Revere. He is the Devoted Father of, Richard F. Orcione & his wife, Ana of San Diego, California, & Thomas W. Orcione & his wife, Kelly of Plymouth. He is the Cherished Grandfather of Renee D. Orcione of Plymouth, Bianca, Flaviana & Ana-Nicole Orcione all of San Diego, CA.
