Joseph Botticelli, Jr.
Family & friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Friday, February 26th from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., in the Vertuccio & Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Rt.107) REVERE for Joseph Botticelli, Jr. who died on Tuesday, February 23rd at the Melrose – Wakefield Hospital, following a brief illness. He was 87 years old. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St., REVERE at 11:00 a.m., followed by entombment in Holy Cross Cemetery – Community Mausoleum, Malden. Due to the ongoing Covid-19 Pandemic, all visitors must wear a face covering, maintain social distancing, adhere to all mandates from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, CDC & the City of Revere & Archdiocese of Boston. The funeral has a capacity of 25-person limit, the church is at 40 % capacity. Temperature checks & contact tracing will be taken at the funeral home & church.
Joe was a Revere native & was educated in Revere. He was an alumnus of Revere High School, Class of 1951. Shortly after High School, Joe enlisted in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Joe rose to the rank of Sargent & when he was honorably discharged, he earned the Korean Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, United Nations Service Medal & National Defense Service Medal. Joe returned home after his proud service for his country and he began a career in Auto Mechanics. Joe was very mechanically inclined in many facets. He also went to school to learn about aircraft mechanics. His passion was automobiles. He began a career at Sears Automotive that spanned for 33 years. He married the love of his life, Linda Alexander on January 21, 1962. The couple moved to Saugus, where they remained their entire marriage. Joe was always fixing things inside & outside of the home & also working on cars. His fastidious nature, some would call obsessive, was more simply that he took care of his things. One of Joe’s passions were horses, he loved them so much. He enjoyed riding them and owned one as well. He thought they were they most beautiful animal God created. Joe & his wife both were dedicated & faithful parishioners of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Revere. He was a man of deep faith & love of God. He was a wonderful husband, brother, uncle & friend.
He is the loving & devoted husband of 59 years to Linda (Alexander) Botticelli of Saugus. Beloved son of the late Joseph Botticelli, Sr. & Elinor Helen (Cataldo) Botticelli. Cherished brother of Marie S. McAveeney of Leesburg, FL & her late husband Thomas B. & treasured brother-in-law of Alfred L. “Freddie” Alexander & his wife Carol of Chicago, IL & Rennie Alexander & his wife Gail P. of North Reading. He is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews.

David J. Kelley
Funeral Services & Interment were held privately due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic for Retired Revere Police Patrolman David J. Kelley, who died in the loving care of his family in Saugus on Friday, February 12, following a long illness, he was 80 years old.
David was a lifelong Revere resident. He was educated In Revere & was an alumnus of Revere High School Class of 1958. He joined the Revere Police in the 1970s in the City he loved. His career spanned over 30 years of service, before retiring. He was an active member of the Revere Lodge of Elks #1171. There he made many lifelong friends & happy memories. He was a three-time past Exalted Ruler & Honorary Life Member. His best memories were always spent with his family, whom he loved deeply.
He is the beloved son of the late Norwood & Loretta (Theodore) Kelley. Loving father of Diane D. Danca & husband Frank of North Andover, John J. Kelley of Revere, David P. Kelley & wife Michelle of Revere, Melissa L. Sheppard & husband Matthew of Saugus & Christian C. Kelley & wife Wendy of Saugus. Dear brother of the late Robert B. Kelley & his surviving wife Eleanor E. “Sissy” Kelley of Revere. Adored grandfather of 5 grandchildren & one great granddaughter. He is also lovingly survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews.

Marie R. (Spallone) Cavallaro
Funeral Services and Interment were held privately for Marie Rose Teresa Cavallaro, of Revere, who passed away peacefully in her home on February 9th at the age of 102.
Marie was born in Revere, Massachusetts, where she spent most of her childhood. After high school, she met and married her husband Patrick Cavallaro from Lawrence, Massachusetts. They lived in Massachusetts and Connecticut with their young children and eventually settled in New Jersey to raise their family. Throughout her life, Marie was involved in her community participating in numerous organizations in Massachusetts and New Jersey. As a young woman, she served as Secretary for the Republican Party of New Jersey. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in New Jersey and Massachusetts. Marie remained active in her later years in the Boston area and never let the Boston weather get in her way. She thoroughly enjoyed her Taiichi and yoga classes sponsored by Massachusetts General Hospital and was an avid Mahjong player. Marie also served as Vice-president of the Golden Age Club of East Boston and was a member of the Anna Defranzo Club of East Boston. She was also involved with the VFW Auxiliary of Revere and the Red Hats.
She is the beloved wife of the late Patrick Cavallaro. Devoted mother of Patricia Ann Nardone and her husband Leo Nardone and the late Roger Lee Cavallaro & mother-in-law of Doreen Saulnier. Cherished grandmother of five granddaughters, five step-granddaughters and fifteen great-grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Mildred Spallone, Michael, Anthony and Raymond Spallone. She is also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews.
Marie was a Grandmother, Mama and friend to many. She was a gregarious woman who shared her decades of life experiences, wisdom, sense of humor and strength from her deep faith with everyone she met. Marie’s family is grateful to the many people who provided support and care for her including the hospice team from Care Dimensions, the home health care teams from Right at Home, Metropolitan Home Health, and Mystic Valley Elder Services. Their compassion and determination to provide care for Marie in her home during the pandemic was exemplary. Additionally, the family thanks the Mass General team for decades of superb health care and services that provided Marie the ability to live a long and full life. A special thank you to Megan for her incredible commitment to Marie and to Branka and Jake, their daughter Sara, and son David for their unwavering support, care, and love for Marie.

Charlette S. Hudson

Hudson, who was stricken at her home in Revere and later passed at the CHA- Everett Hospital on Tuesday, February 9th, she was 60 years old. Due to the ongoing Covid-19 Pandemic. Charlette was born in Ludwigsburg, Germany while her father was serving his country. She and her family returned to Massachusetts and settled in Jeffries Point in East Boston. Charlette was educated in Boston Schools and was an alumna of East Boston High School, Class of 1978. Charlette always had a wit and a take-charge attitude who always spoke her mind, but Charlette was always a kind & loving person. She later moved to West Palm Beach, FL where she was married & began her family. She began her own cleaning company and was immediately being referred due to her fanatical cleaning obsession. Charlette, became very popular with many of the wealthier homeowners. She later returned to the Boston area, where she met her best friend & love Louie P. Abric, IV. Charlette immediately made friends in her new neighborhood and brought a level of energy there as well. She made friends everywhere she went and people gravitated towards her. She will be remembered in many ways for her unique & genuine ways.
She is the beloved daughter of the late Charles & Elizabeth L. “Betty” (Loberg). Loving mother of Victoria T. Dalton of Revere, Phillip C. Dalton & Michelle C. Hudson, both of Florida. Adored grandmother of Theo & Alexandria. Cherished companion of Louie P. Abric, IV of Revere with whom she made her home with. Dear sister of Elaine Hudson of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl, Debra Hunter of Lakeworth, FL, Shelia Hudson – Parks & husband Robert of Wilmington & the late Charles R. Hudson & Beverly Grady. She is also lovingly survived by her former husband Phillip K. Dalton of Palm Beach, FL & many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews & many lifelong friends. She is predeceased by her faithful feline companion “Nico”. Interment will be private.

Funeral Services & Interment were held privately for Janet Fontenot, of Winthrop, formerly of Jeffries Point East Boston, who died following a long illness on Monday, February 8th, at Massachusetts General Hospital, she was 72 years old. Preceded in death by her parents, Iway and Caroline (Delbene) Fontenot. She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Lisa Feeley & her husband Sean of Martinsburg, WV; & her son, David Calla & his companion Janet A. Yaremian of Peabody. She is the dear sister of Maria Kelly & her husband Charles of Peabody & Gerald Fontenot& his wife Donna of Georgetown, formerly of Chelsea. Cherished grandmother to Alex, Patrick, and Felicia Feeley Also lovingly survived by her nieces & nephews Renee Jacavanco, Diane Letellier, Stacy Marshall, Christopher Fontenot, and Matthew Fontenot. Janet was a late employee of Home Depot in Chelsea where she worked as a sales associate for 5 years, before retiring. Janet also worked in the Hospitality Industry for most of her working career, where she worked as a bookkeeper for several of the area Hotels.

Stella E. (Corrado) Polcari
Of Belmont, passed away peacefully in her home on February 1st at the age of 100. Loving daughter of the late Mark & Felicetta Corrado of East Boston. Beloved wife of the late Joseph M. Polcari. Dear sister of the late Benita Festa & the late Henry Corrado. Cherished aunt of Barbara Holden & her husband Fred of Delray Beach, Florida, Beverly Pacheco & the late Rich Pacheco of Marshfield, Elaine Festa of Saugus & Albert J. Festa, Jr. & his wife Arlene of Winthrop. Adored grand aunt of Cheryl Holden Cuddy, Rick Holden, Robert Bagley, David Bagley, Kristin Mackenzie, Albert Festa, III, Jennifer Festa Buono & Stephanie Dunbar and great-grandaunt of 12 nieces & nephews.
Stella was a graduate of East Boston High School in 1937. She met the love of her life Joe and married in 1943. At the time of their marriage Joe had been in Hawaii stationed at Pearl Harbor. Stella joined Joe in Hawaii and worked for two years as a secretary in the naval office. Upon returning home in 1945, Stella began working for The Dodge Chemical Company in Kenmore Sq., Boston. She began working as a bookkeeper for 9 years where she learned about the unique business in serving the needs of Funeral Directors & Embalmers. She became administrative assistant to the president for the next 30 years. There at Dodge, she would become the “go to gal” for the many Boston Funeral Directors & directors within the surrounding communities that Dodge served. Stella’s magnetism & professionalism instilled in her clients, a long lasting & faithful allegiance to Dodge Chemical. Many funeral directors recall with endearing nostalgia, the personal attention accorded to them by Stella. It may be noted that Stella was the fruition of humble, hardworking Italian immigrant parents, who passed onto their children, that often sought after, attribute, “pride in your work”. She loved her job and would have stayed working longer had her husband not insist that she finally retire. Upon retirement, the company honored her & Joe with a trip to revisit Hawaii. Following retirement, Stella and Joe spent time visiting their nieces and nephews as well as enjoying time in Florida and Cape Cod. Stella loved to travel and finally fulfilled a lifelong dream trip to Italy with her niece. She always kept busy and never missed completing even the most challenging crossword puzzle, as well as never missing a family gathering. She will always be known as “Auntie.”
A Funeral Mass was celebrated privately at St. Joseph – St. Lazarus Church, East Boston where she was married from.

Ramon “Ray” Cipriano
Funeral Services & interment were held privately due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, for Ramon “Ray” Cipriano, who died on Sunday, January 31st after a long illness at the Hawthorne Hill Nursing Care Facility in Danvers, he was 85 years old.
Ray was born & raised in East Boston. He was educated in Boston Public Schools. Ray entered the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict & served his country, when he returned, he knew his calling. Ray began his career working in a Mill Factory, & became a millwright, a trade that he mastered through years of work. Ray was a dedicated family man and was extremely hardworking so he could provide for his family. He & his wife raised their 2 daughters in East Boston, until moving to Peabody about 20 years ago. He also had his own business that he worked as a handy man doing various tasks such as carpentry, painting & whatever needed to be fixed. For many years, Ray made custom hand carved name plates, made from various types of wood. These name plates were carved and then hand finished with stains and polyurethane. They became so popular, that he had orders for dozens of them through the years. Ray was an avid poker player. He enjoyed going to the Casino at Foxwoods to play poker but he also enjoyed the atmosphere. His favorite place to be was always with his family. He enjoyed holidays, birthdays, anniversaries or anytime that they were all together.
He is the beloved & devoted husband of 58 years to Angelina M. (Rizzo) Cipriano of Peabody. Loving father of Lisa Dallamora & husband James of Framingham & Dina Ruggiero & husband Mario, Jr. of Saugus. Cherished brother of Romeo Cipriano of Malden, Gloria Darragh of Peabody and the late Philip Cipriano, Ronald Cipriano, Dolores DiFiore, Nora Laurentano, Netta Joyce, Silvia Antonucci, Armando Cipriano, Olga Carnevale & Ann Silvaggio. Leo F. Mirasolo
Funeral Services were held privately due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, for Leo F. Mirasolo, who died at Massachusetts General Hospital on Sunday, January 31st, exactly one week after losing his wife Phyllis (Amato) Mirasolo of 73 after years of marriage.
Leo was born & raised in East Boston. He was educated in Boston Public Schools and like many he was forced to leave school to assist with providing for his family. Leo worked as a presser as a young man then opened his own Dry Cleaners & Tailoring shop in Maverick Square in East Boston. He had to close it shortly thereafter due to being drafted into the United States Army in September of 1945. Leo spent more than a year in Germany with his unit as they searched for weapons and resistant soldiers. The unit went house to house to maintain peace and safety for U.S. Soldiers as well as fellow foreign allies. Leo was honorably discharged in May of 1947 and immediately began work as a presser with the ILGW Union (International Ladies Garment Workers Union) in Boston’s “Garment District”. He would spend over 45 years working there. Leo & his wife began their life together in East Boston, later moving to Revere in 1956. His family was always first. He worked hard to provide for his family which was always his priority. After many years of hard work, Leo & his wife enjoyed traveling around the world. They took trips to Europe, Hawaii, the West Coast, Aruba, the Bahamas, Canada, Las Vegas & Florida. Leo also enjoyed the visiting casinos and the racetrack. He was a horse racing enthusiast. Above all, Leo loved his family. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren & great grandchildren, they were the most important to him.
He is the devoted & beloved husband of the late Phyllis (Amato) Mirasolo of 73 years. Loving father of Ret. Revere Patrolman Joseph L. Mirasolo of Groveland, Leonard F. Mirasolo & wife Ann Marie of Saugus & Lisa A. Mirasolo of Revere. Cherished grandfather of Michelle L. Korisianos & husband Peter of Peabody, Stephen J. Mirasolo & wife Nicole of Groveland, Meghan Allen & husband Edward of Melrose & Brian W. Mirasolo & fiancé Sheila Jameson of Wakefield. Adored great grandfather of Gianna, Ava, Alexa & Georgia.
