Alice G. (Fabian) Longo

(Fabian) Longo, who died on Friday, August 2nd following a brief illness at Rosewood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of Peabody, at 95 years. Born & raised in Revere, she attended Revere schools & was a 1936 alumna of Revere High School. Mrs. Long was, what one would classify as a “stay at home Mom,” a role that she loved & epitomized. Although the majority of these women viewed their role as “not extraordinary,” they are indeed, often the force behind the success of their husbands & children, & such was the likeness of Alice G. Longo. She & her late husband, Edward H. Longo, Sr. were married in 1938. He died in 2003, after their 65th wedding anniversary. She is the Cherished mother of: Carol A. Longo of Lynn, Edward H. Longo, Jr. & his wife Victoria of Wakefield, & John M. Longo & his partner Steven Clark of Chatham, MA. She is the devoted grandmother of: Lori Joyal & her husband Paul of Sudbury, Edward H. She is also lovingly survived by her five great-grandchildren, Timothy, Jeffrey, Olivia, Emily & Benjamin, & many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care, 275 Grove St., Newton, MA 02466.
